(p. 242) kanna kanna. [Tel.] adj. (Contracted from కనిన who begot). 'By birth' (a parent) as distinguished from పెంపుడు 'by adoption.' కన్నతండ్రి one's own father or natural father; కన్నతల్లి one's own mother; కన్నబిడ్డ a child by birth, not by adoption. కన్న (i.e., కనిన seen, perceived.) adj. Any, miscellaneous, indiscriminately taken, vile. కన్నకూళ్లు any food that one could get. కన్నమాటలు vile language. కన్నవాడు anybody, without selection. కన్నవారు strangers, anybody. కన్నచోట anywhere. In Paraj. v. 46. కన్నదిగతిగా in any way or direction, headlong. కాకి కన్నది తింటుంది the crow eats trash.

(p. 611) dommi dommi. [Tel.] n. A swarm, rabble, mob, crowd. A melee flight. 'A fray, a skrimish. A noise, సందడి. దొమ్మిగూడి వచ్చిరి they came in a mob. దొమ్మలాడు to riot, to fight. To be distressed, to suffer: to struggle, పెనగులాడు. దొమ్మియుద్ధము a melee fight. దొమ్మిగా tumultously, confusedly, noisily, buzzingly: in the lump, indiscriminately. దొమ్మితనము dommi-tanamu. n. Riotousness.
