(p. 347) gaṇḍariñcu ganḍarinṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To issue, spring, be produced. ఆవిర్భవించు, పుట్టు. v. a. To produce or cause to be born. పుట్టించు.

(p. 503) taḍaka or తడిక taḍaka. [Tel.] n. A framework, a screen, a hurdle, what is called a tatty. A gate made of open bars, a mat used as a door. తప్పులతడక a pack of contradictions, a parcel of blunders, a heap or tissue of falsehoods.

(p. 535) tīru tīru. [Tel.] v. n. To end, stop, cease, elapse. To be finished, ended, complete, or ready. To be paid, delivered, discharged, avenged. To be qualified, accomplished, finished, adorned, trim, decked. To be gratified, satiated, wreaked (as passion;) to be assuaged or allayed, to go off. ముగియు, చిక్కబడు. తనివితీర to the full; so as to satisfy one's desires. తీరలేదు it came to nothing, it was ineffectual. కోరికతీసి having gained his end. ఇది నాచేత తీరదు this is out of my power. నాకు తీరీతీరక ఉన్నది I am hardly at leisure. తీరిపోవు to die. To be practicable, or possible. అక్కడికి రాతీరదు I cannot come there, I have not leisure to come. రాకుంటే తీరదు (you) must positively come. వెళ్లక తీరదు I cannot help going. తీరినగుండెగా నున్నాడు he is quite hackneyed. తీరా tirā. (Root in A of తీరు, with the intensive affix ఆ) adv. Ultimately, at last; fairly; just, merely, in short, simply. తీరా మధ్యాహ్నమయ్యేటప్పటికి when it was high noon. ఆ గోడ తీటా పడ్డది the wall actually fell down. తూరా పండుకొనేటప్పటికి when he was fairly asleep. ఆ సంగతి తీరా బయటపడేటప్పటికి when the matter at last became known. తీరా చెల్లించెను he paid it in full. తీరిక or తీరికె tīrika. n. Leisure. పనిలేక యూరకుండుట. తీరికచిక్కిన having no leisure. Adorning, trimming, decoration. దిద్దడము. తీరిన tīrina adj. Full. finished, accomplished, cured, settled. తీరు. n. Manner, way, mode, fashion, style, arrangement, విధము. (p. 707) panasa panasa. [from Skt. పణ్ణాస.] n. A verse in a chapter in the Vēda: వేద భాగము. పనసచెట్టు panasa-cheṭṭu. n. The jack-fruit tree. Artocarpus integrifolia. (Watts.) చెట్టుపనస or వేరుపనస the species of this tree, the fruits of which issue from the root. పనిసమాను the outrigger of a boat, పడవపొరలకుండ పక్కను కట్టేమ్రాను. పనసవాండ్లు panasa-vānḍlu. [Tel.] n. plu. Mountebanks. The name of a caste of men employed in menial offices, particularly to blow trumpets or conches at funerals. కంసాలులను యాచించే వారు. పనసవర్తన fees given to them.

(p. 803) poga or పొప poga. [Tel.]n. Smoke, steam, vapour. ధూమము. 'ఊరుపుపొగల్' the vapour of sighs. Vasu. iv. 10. పొగతాగు to smoke a pipe or cheroot. 'అగరు సాంబ్రాణిపొగలుపట్టి' Ila. i. 140. టీ ధూప మిచ్చి. పొగకన్ను poga-kannu. n. Siva's eye from which fire issued. పొగకర్ర poga-karra. n. A sunbeam. Lit: a stick of smoke, because a beam has that appearance if it falls amid smoke. పొగగూడు poga-gūḍu. n. A chimney. పొగచు, పొగుచు or పొగయించు pogaṭsu. To cause to smoke, పొగయజేయు. To fry, to season with spices. ఇగురబెట్టు, తిరుగబోతబెట్టు, సాతాళించు. 'కలమాన్నము నొల్చిన పప్పునాలుగే న్పొగిచినకూరలున్.' A. i. 39. టీ పొగచినకూరలున్, ఇగురుకూరలును. పొగచుట్ట poga-ṭsūṭṭa. n. A cheroot or cigar. పొగకుంట a tobacco field. పొగాకువేసిన కుంట నేల. పొగచూరు poga-ṭsūru. v. n. To be smoked, పొగపట్టు, పొగవాసన కలిగియుండు. పొగచెట్టు or పొగాకుచెట్టు poga-cheṭṭu. n. The tobacco plant. కారుపొగాకు very strong and black tobacco. పొగపు pogapu. To cause to be fried or seasoned, సాతాళించు. పొగపు orపోపు n. Seasoning, spicery. తిరుగబోత. తాలింపు. పొగబాణము poga-bāṇamu. n. A smoke rocket, i.e., a bomb-shell, ధూమము కమ్ముకొనేటట్టుచేయు ఆకాశబాణము. 'పొగబాణములగముల్ నిగిడింపగ్రమ్మెడు, ధూమంపుపెనుమొగుల్ తొంగలింప.' Bobbili. iii. 137. పొగయు or పొవయు pogayu. v. n. To smoke or emit smoke, పొగలేచు. To be smoked, పొగగలదియగు. To be passed through smoke. To burn slowly. కుములు.

(p. 918) bharmamu bharmamu. [Skt.] n. Gold. బంగారు. 'భర్మపుటంబుల్' tissue, gold cloth. భర్మదేశము bharma-dēṣamu. n. The 'land of Gold,' Burma. The king has a title భర్మపదుడు Golden footed.

(p. 1216) velupu Same as వెడలుపు (q. v.) వెలుపించు or వెలుపుచేయు velup-inṭsu. v. a. To widen, వెడలుపుచేయు. వెలుపు velupu. (from వెలుచు.) v. n. To issue, as a stream. నీరుబయలుదేరు. వేసవిదినములయందు కొద్దినీరు వెలుపును a little water flows from it in summer.

(p. 1326) sāramu sāramu. [Skt.] n. Essence, substance, the essential or vital part. The pith, sap, marrow. Juice. Vigour. The effect or purport. Riches, wealth. మూలగ, మెదడు. చేవ, జలము, పత్త, ఫలము. విత్తము, అర్థము, రసము. 'సారాస్వాదన, ప్రాణపంచకము దృష్ణంబాషి సంతర్పణన్.' A. vi. 29. టీ సారాస్వాదన, మెదడునుభుజింపగా, లోహసారము steel. వేదాంతసారము the essence of Theology; (this is the title of a certain Christain book) శూన్యసారము the essence of emptiness. భూసారము the fertility or richness of the earth. ఇందులో సారములేదు in this I see nothing of any worth. సారములేనిమాటలు dry and empty discourse. adj. Excellent, fruitful, rich, శ్రేష్ఠమైన. సారఖండము a rich or fruitful country of soil. 'సారాచారము' అనగా, శ్రేష్ఠమైన. సారవంతము. M. XIII. ii. సారతరము sāra-taramu. adj. More excellent. మిక్కిలిశ్రేష్ఠమైన. సారవంతము sāra-vantamu. adj. Fruitful, fertile, rich. సారాంశము the essence or purport of any matter. సారవత్తరము sāra-vat-taramu. adj. Best, most excellent. మిక్కిలి శ్రేష్ఠమైన. సారాంశము sār-āmṣamu. n. The essential part, the pith, gist or purport. An issue framed by a court. సత్త, నిగ్గు, సారస్యము.
