To send, forward, despatch. పంపు సాగనంపు to accompany a friend a little way so as to set him on his journey. పిలవనంపు to send for one. అంపించు. same as అంపు or పంపు to send. అంపుదోడు ampu-dōḍu. n. A companion in a journey. దారికి సహాయముగా వచ్చేమనిషి. వాడు అంపుదోళ్లకు బిడ్డకాన్పులకు తిరుగుతున్నాడు he employs himself as a companion and as a nurse.

(p. 74) amarcu or అమరుచు or అమరించు amarṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To prepare, make ready. To engage. To provide, supply, furnish. సిద్ధముచేయు, జాగ్రతచేయు. ప్రయాణమునకు కావలసినదాన్ని అమర్చినాడు he prepared every thing for the journey. 'సొమ్ములు మేనవేడుకన్ వెలయునమర్చి.' H. i. 230. 'అధమ వృత్తి కధికునమరించుపతి తిట్టుగుడుచుగాదె.' P. i. 177. అమరిక amarika. n. Neatness. అందము. Tranquility, quietness, mildness. శాంతము, నెమ్మది. అమరికగలవాడు he who has presence of mind.

A wreath of flowers. పువ్వుటెత్తు, పుష్పసరము. (p. 258) kaliyu or కలియు kaliyu. [Tel.] v. n. To mix, join, mingle. To collect, assemble. To coalesce. To agree, correspond, match. To be included in, to fall under. To set to work, being to do. దిక్కులు కలియచూచి looking all round. దృష్టి కలిసినప్పుడు when our eyes met. అతనిభూమిలో కలిసినస్థలము a spot included in his land. ఆ దారి ఇక్కడ కలియుచున్నది that road meets here. సభ కలిపినది, or సభ కలిసిపోయినది the assembly has broken up or adjourned: కలియగలుపు kaliya-galupa n. Familiarity, affability. కలియగలుపుగానుండే familiar, easy, affable. కలియబడు kaliya-baḍu v. n. To meddle with. To rush, fall (upon enemies) వాండ్లు మామీద కలియబడ్డారు they rushed upon us. To become entangled. 'అరుతసరులుకలియంబడుచు.' B. viii. 457. కలియబెట్టు. kaliya-beṭṭu. v. a. To mix, to stir.

(p. 260) kalpamu kalpamu. [Skt.] n. An age. A religious rule. A code or description of religious rites. A legend or pious tale. Thus; వరలక్ష్మీవ్రతకల్పము the legend or book regarding this observance బ్రహ్మకల్పము an age of Brahma equal to many millions of years. A series of publications as of a journal; as ప్రథమకల్పము first series, ద్వితీయకల్పము second series, &c. adj. That which equivalent to or that which is almost the same as. సమానమైనది. A word (like ish, in blackish, whitish) denoting similarity. ద్వీపకల్పము a peninsula. కరకల్పము like a hand. తటిత్కల్పమైన resembling lighting కల్పాంతము kalp-āntamu. n. The destruction of the world. The end of time. ప్రళయము. A Brahma's day. బ్రహ్మదినము. కల్పుడు kalpuṭn. One who is similar to, or equal to. విద్వత్కల్పుడు almost a scholar. అగ్నికల్పుడు he who is similar (in excellence) to the god of fire. M. XIII. ii. 332.

(p. 341) kṣēmamu kshēmamu. [Skt.] adj. Happy, well, in good health, prosperous, safe. కుశలమైన, శుభమైన, ఆరోగ్యమైన, శ్రేయస్కరమైన, భద్రమైన. n. Good fortune, welfare, happiness, health, safety. Bliss. A safe for money. శుభము, కుశలము, భద్రము, కలిగినది చెడకుండుట. యోగక్షేమములు విచారించుట to enquire after a person's welfare. క్షేమముగా నుండు to be happy or well. క్షేమంకరుడు or క్షేమకారి kshēmankaruḍu. n. Handwriting, a signature. వారందరు ఒక చెయ్యిగానున్నారు they are all hand in hand, hand and glove with each other. ఆ పని చెయ్యికూడివచ్చినది the business turned out well. చేతికిందిమనిషి a servant, a slave. చేతిపని hand-work. చేతిసొమ్ము money in hand, cash. అతని చేతివాడు one of his creatures or hangers on. చెయ్యివెల sale for ready money. రొక్కపు వెల. చెయ్యి సాగినంతలో when your hand is in, when you have the opportunity. In some phrases the word may be left untranslated: as నా చేతికిచ్చెను he gave it to me; lit. to my hand చెయికావలి means a supply of rice, &c., provided for dinner at a future stage in a journey. చెయ్యికావలికి నాలుగు రూపాయలు ఎత్తిపెట్టుకొన్నాడు he laid up something to meet contingencies. కరిడిచెయ్యి అద్దము like a looking glass in the hand of a bear. చేతకాని idle, paltry, incapable. In some compounds it means extra, as చెయ్యికావలి or చెయ్యిజాగ్రత a reserve, or extra ground; చెయ్యితడి ఆరకముందు తీర్చివెయ్యి do it before your hand cools. చెయ్యియీటె a small spear. తాళపుచెయ్యి a key. నీచేతినుంచి తగులుతుంది, or, చెయ్యికరుచును you will have to lay out some money. చెయ్యిచేసికొను to handle, interfere, meddle with, to use the hand: to take the law into one's own hands and beat. చెయ్యివిడుచు to abandon, desert, give over (a person.) చెయ్యిచూచు to feel the pulse. చెయ్యితిరిగిన cheyyi-tirigina. adj. Experienced, expert, handy. చెయువు or చెయ్వు cheyuvu. n. An act, an action.

(p. 501) tagulu tagulu. [Tel.] v. a. & n. To happen, occur, turn up, appear. To belong to. appertain to, to come in contact with, to touch, hit, strike. To be caught; got, found, joined, entangled, understood. To be received (as a blow), incurred (as expense or punishment.) n. See under తగులము. ఆ యింటికి నిప్పుతగిలినది the house caught fire. ఇక్కడ గాలి తగులుచున్నది the wind strikes here, here we get the breeze. పెండ్లితగిలినది there was a marriage. ప్రయాణము తగిలినది he had occasion to make a journey. అక్కడ మంచినీళ్లు తగిలినవి there we found fresh water. వానికి దెబ్బతగిలినది he received a blow. కుండ కాలికి తగిలినది the pot touched my foot. ఓడ మెరకు తగిలినది the ship ran aground. వానికి రోగముతగలకుండ to prevent his catching the disease. అతనితిట్లు నాకు తగలలేదు his abuse did not affect me. ఇది వానిమనసునకు తగిలినది this was impressed upon his mind. వెంటతగులు to pursue. తగులుకొని వచ్చిరి they attacked, they followed. అడ్డముతగులు to oppose, to come in the way. పదిరూకలు తగిలినవి it cost ten cash. తగులుకొను tagulu-konu. v. n. To be involved or entangled with. చిక్కుకొను. To fall in love with. వలచు.
