(p. 606) dṛḍhamu dṛiḍhamu. [Skt.] adj. Hard, solid, strong, firm, bulky, massive. Able, mighty, brave, resolute, confirmed, certain, sure, real. గట్టి, బలిసిన. దృఢదంశక dṛiḍha-damṣaka. n. Lit: That which is hard toothed,--an epithet applied to monsters. దృఢమతి dṛiḍha-mati. n. Steadfast faith. దృఢలోను dṛiḍha-lōma. adj. Bristly, shaggy, rough, hairy. దృఢత dṛiḍhata. n. Firmness, steadfastness, greatness, certainty.

(p. 774) pulōmuḍu pulōmuḍu. [Skt.] n. The name of a Rishi, slain by Indra. పులోమజ pulōma-ja. n. The daughter of Pulōma who was ravished by Indra and became his wife, శచీదేవి. పులోమజిత్తు pulōma-jittu. n. The slayer of pulōma: an epithet of Indra.

(p. 829) pratilōmamu prati-lōmamu. [Skt.] adj. Not right, reverse, inverted, contrary to the natural course or order, against the hair or grains. ప్రతి లోపముగా backwards, as reciting (a spell or the alphabet) the wrong way. ప్రతిలోమవివాహము marriage the wrong way, i.e., wherein the wife is superior to the husband.

The wrong way, the reverse way, the opposite order or course, against the hair, against the grain, ప్రతిక్రమము, క్రమమునకు తలక్రిందు, వ్యత్యయము, విపర్యయము, 'విపరీతము, ప్రతికూలము, అవరోహణక్రమముగల. విలోమముగా contrariwise. అనులోమవిలోమ శ్లోకము a palindrome or verse that may be read forwards and backwards.
