(p. 13) antramu antramu. [Skt.] n. An entrail, a gut. పేగు. అంత్రవృద్ధి inguinal hernia, rupture. అంత్రమాలిక a garland of guts, a necklace of sausages.

(p. 17) ambāramu ambāramu. [H.] A heap of grain. ధాన్యరాశి. Also, the government share in a crop. (Vizag) అంబారసొఝు to heap up grain అంబారములుగా పడియుండు to lie in heaps. ఉభయరాశి అంబారము a heap of grain containing both the shares due to government to the landholder.

(p. 18) aṃśuvu amṣuvu. [Skt.] n. A ray or light, a beam. కిరణము. అంశుజాలము amṣujālamu. [Skt.] n. A garland of the rays of light, a halo. అంశుమాలి amṣu-māli. [Skt.] n. He who is girded with rays. An epithet of the sun. సూర్యుడు. అంశుమంతుడు amṣuman-tuḍu. [Skt.] n. The sun or moon. సూర్యుడు. A rich man.

(p. 18) akaraṃ akaram. [H.] Service Inam land. అకరికుడు a collector of customs, సుంకరి.

(p. 28) accu aṭṭsu. n. A stamp, a form for printing or for any other impression, a type, a printing press. An axle-tree. A mould. The handle of a handmill, A weaver's reed or stay. An image, or picture. ప్రతి రూపమును కల్పించేటిది, ఇరుసుమాను, తిరగటి పిడి, బట్ట వేసేటందుకు సాధనమైనది, ప్రతిబింబము. పోత అచ్చు the mould wherein clay or metal is cast. ఇటికె అచ్చు the box or mould used in making bricks. అచ్చక్షరములు printed letters. అచ్చువేయు to print. ఇంకా అచ్చువేయని unprinted, unpublished.అచ్చువేసేవాడు a printer. అక్షరాల అచ్చులు types of letters. బెల్లపు అచ్చు a square mould into which boiled treacle is poured, and thus formed into cakes. అచ్చుబెల్లము a lump of jaggery, అచ్చొత్తు to seal, impress with a mark, to print అచ్చుకూటము (a Madras word,) A printing press office ముద్రాశాల. అచ్చుబల్ల the frame on which a weaver's reed is fixed. అచ్చువేసినయెద్దు a 'brahminy' bull that is marked or stamped and is allowed to wander at large, as consecrated to the deity. అచ్చుకట్టు or అచ్చుకట్టువేయు v. a. To prepare land for wet cultivation by throwing up banks to divide it into plots, partitions or beds. మళ్లుగా ఏర్పరచు అచ్చుకట్టించినమడి or అచ్చుకట్టు పొలము a field which is divided into beds for wet cultivation. అచ్చులపోయు to find yarn on the frame for weaving (Cuddapa.) అచ్చుగా aṭṭsu-gā. [Tel.] adv. Precisely, exactly, clearly, evidently. 'పిచ్చుకపై బ్రహ్మాస్తము నచ్చుగ దొడిగినవితాన.' T. iv. 22.

(p. 29) accukonu aṭṭsu-konu. [Tel.] v. n. To pay, pay wrongfully, liquidate. దండగపెట్టు. వాడు దివాణమునకు పది రూపాయలు అచ్చుకొన్నాడు he paid ten Rupees to government. ఆ నేలకుగాను నలభైరూపాయలు అచ్చుకొనియున్నాను. I have suffered, on account of that land, a loss of forty rupees. మేము అచ్చుకొనువారము we will make it good.

(p. 29) ajā ajā. [H.] Amount. The whole, grand total. Also, the gross produce of a land including both the ryot's and government shares. [Vizag.]

(p. 44) addike [Tel. from అద్దె rent.] Mortgage. తాకట్టు. అద్దికెభూమి mortgaged land. (Cuddapa.)

(p. 46) adhityaka adhityaka. [Skt.] n. Uplands. Heights. పర్వతోర్ధ్వభూమి.

(p. 51) anādi an-ādi. [Skt.] adj. without beginning, eternal. అరంభములేని, నిత్యమైన. అనాదిబీడు immemorial waste, i.e., land that never has been brought under the plough. అనాదీయము [Skt.] adj. Immemorial, aboriginal, of unknown origin. పూర్వీకపు. అనాద్యము adj. Without origin, of unknown origin, everlasting. నిరంతరమైన, ఎన్నటికిని ఉండే. అనాద్యంతము without beginning and end.

(p. 61) apadūru apa-dūru. [Skt.] n. Calumny, infamy, undeserved blame. అపవాదము. అపదూరుపడు v. n. To be calumniated, defamed. అపకీర్తినిపొందు. అవదూరు పెట్టు v. a. To slander, spread an ill report of one. ఒకరిమీద తప్పుమాటలు చెప్పు.

(p. 62) apaninda apa-ninda. [Skt.] n. Undeserved blame, reproach, detraction, slander, false accusation. అపవాదము.

(p. 63) apavādamu apa-vādamu. [Skt.] n. Calumny, reproach, slander. నింద, అపఖ్యాతి.

(p. 68) abvābu abvābu. [H.] n. (Lit. Doors, chapters.) Miscellaneous revenue accounts. 'The usual heads in Revenue accounts are Mal and Abwab. The Mal or Regular revenue is collected on land and customs, including taxes on liquors, &c The Abwab, or Miscellaneous includes the difference of exchange (often considerable) between that of the market and the fixed rate at which the revenue of the district is paid, casual aid or support of the Government officers, fees to the shroff, and contributions to various feasts.' (p. 68) abhāṇḍamu a-bhānḍamu. [Origin not known.] n. False or unjust accusation, slander. లేనిపోని నేరము, అపవాదము. అభాండపు వ్యాజ్యము a false complaint.
