(p. 3) aṅkiñcu ankinṭsu. [Tel.] v. t. & i. 1. To raise, take up, lift up. భుజములంకించు shrug the shoulders. 2. To move about, to brandish, ఆడించు, ౛ళిపించు. 'కరవాలంబంకించి యంగదుభజాంతరంబు బిట్టు వ్రేసి.' ద్వి.రా. 3. To turn to one side త్రిప్పు. 'నమ్మెగమంకించి.' విర్వ. ఊ: viii. 4. To hold, పట్టుకొను. 'పంకజభవాండమండపంబు సంకుచేసిన పొంకంబున నంకించుచు.' వసు. iv. 23. 7. To extol, applaud పొగడు: 'సముచితభాషణంబుల నంకించుచున్న.' భాగ. viii. 134.

(p. 26) aggiñcu agginṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To praise. commend, applaud. అగ్గింపు aggimpu. n. Praise, eulogy.

(p. 32) aṭṭahāsamu aṭṭa-hāsamu. [Skt.] n. Violent, phrenzied laughter. Vehement action, exceeding effort or exertion. Toil, pains, laborious efforts. Pomp. 'అట్టహాసంబున నడరెడు తెరనూరు.' N. ix. 31. నా కూతురిని పంపితేనేగాని కూడదని అట్టహాసము చేస్తాడు he protests violently that his daughter shall go with him. రాజు బహు అట్టహాసముతో బయలుదేరినాడు the king set out with great pomp. అట్టహాసకాడు n. A pompous or ostentatious man.

(p. 64) apahasiñcu apa-hasinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To laugh convulsively, to laugh outright To laugh at, deride. గేలి చేయు, ఎకసక్కెము చేయు, వెక్కిరించు. అపహాసము or అపహాస్యము apahāsyamu. [Skt.] n. Laughter, ridicule, jest. ఎకసక్కెము, వెక్కిరింపు.

A suicide or self murderer. ఆత్మజుడు ātma-juḍu. n. A son, as springing from oneself. ఆత్మజ్ఞుడు ātmagnyuḍu. n. A sage, who knows God and his own heart. ఆత్మనేపదము ātma-nē-padamu. n. The grammatical name for the middle voice in కొను; as వ్రాసికొను. ఆత్మవంచన ātma-vanchana. n. Self delusion. ఆత్మస్తుతి ātma-stuti. n. Self applause. ఆత్మార్థము ātmārthamu. adv. 'ఉబ్బి చెలరేగి వసుదేవుడుత్సహించె.' (B. X.) he was overjoyed. అది నాకు దొరికినదని వానికి కడుపు ఉబ్బుచున్నది he is vexed at my obtaining this. కడుపుబ్బు suppression of urine, envy, spite, ఉబ్బున haughtily, fiercly. ఉబ్బించు ubbinṭsu. v. t. To inflate, to puff up with joy, to flatter. ఉబ్బు రోగము ubbu-rōgamu. n. Dropsy.

(p. 191) ela ela. [Tel.] n. A witness సాక్షి. adj. Young, tender, delicate. లేత: slight స్వల్పము. ఎలదీగబోడి. A young sprig; a maiden ఎలనగవు a smile. adv. (p. 201) ēla ēla. [Tel.] n. A hurrah, or hoop. A carol or catch used by rowers of boats శృంగారపు పాట. 'ఏటికట్టగుడిసెవేతాం ఏరువస్తే కూడాపోదాం ఓ, ఓ, గొల్లభామా!' (The books named గరుడాచలము, ఆటభాగవతము, పారిజాతము, &c. contain many specimens of these carols.) Also, a chorus of applause. ఏలపాటలు a kind of play, a game played by children బాలక్రీడావిశేషము. (p. 211) onaru onaru. [Tel.] v. i. To happen, chance, be. To become, suit, or agree. To be pretty, proper or agreeable. To appertain or belong to, to be attached to. కలుగు, పొసగు, సరిపడు, ఒప్పు. ఒనరు n. Convenience, facility, వీలు, వాటము, పొందిక. Elegance, gracefulness ఇంపు. ఆ దుర్గములో ఒనరులు చూచి లగ్గలెక్కినారు they spied out the convenient places in that fort or hill and then escaladed it. ఒనరగా onara-gā. adv. Elegantly, becomingly, fitly. ఒనరజేయు onara-jēyu. v. a. To grace or adorn. To fit or accommodate పొసగజేయు. ఒనరుపడు onaru-paḍu. v. i. To agree with పొందుపడు. ఒనరించు or ఒనరుచు or ఒనర్చు onarinṭsu. v. t. To make, form, do, effect, perform. చేయు. To celebrate (as a sacrifice.) To compose or frame, to write (a book). బాగొనరించు to do good, or benefit. ఎగ్గొనరించు to do harm, to injure. నాదమొనర్చి uttering a sound. ఊడిగము లొనరించి having served. యుక్తములగనొనర్తువు thou shalt render them acceptable. యుద్ధమొనర్చు to wage war.నగుబారొనరించును it will make them laugh.
