(p. 310) kēvalamu kēvalamu. [Skt.] adj. and adv. Pure, mere, simple, unmixed, uncompounded. ఒక్కటేయైన. ఇది కేవలము బంగారు తోచేసినది this is made with gold alone. కేవలము నీళ్లేతాగినాడు he drank nothing but water. వాడు కేవలవైయాకరణుడు he is a mere grammarian. వాడు కేవల నైయాయికుడు he is a mere logician. Altogether, in every respect. అంతయున్ను: as ఈ పట్టణము కేవలము లంకవలెనున్నది this city is in every respect like Lanka. ఇది కేవలమనృతము this is entirely false. కేవలుడు kēvaluḍu. n. A sort of pump. నూతిగిరక, నీరుతోడేగిలక. 'గీ పొంతఘటయంత్రసరము ద్రిప్పుచు జపించు' A. v. 90. ఘటశాసి ghaṭa-ṣāsi. n. A logician. తార్కికుడు. A. vi. 89. ఘటశ్రాద్ధము or ఘటస్పోటనము ghaṭa-ṣrāddhamu. n. The funeral of a pot; a mode of divorce, wherein funeral rites are performed as though the rebellious wife were actually dead. ఘటస్ఫోటనము చేసినాడు he divorced his wife.
