(p. 70) abhimānamu abhi-mānamu. [Skt.] n. Pride, self-esteem, haughtiness Patronage, protection. Affection, regard, care, love, favour. గర్వము, సంరక్షణ, విశ్వాసము, దేశాభిమానము love of one's own country, patriotism. వాడు దేహాభిమానము కలవాడు he pays great attention to his own ease. he is luxurious. అభిమానపుత్రుడు one who passes for one's son, or is looked upon as a son, or, supposed to be his child. అభిమానపుత్రత్వము an understood or attribute sonship. తమ అభిమానము కావలసినది I beg your patronage. నా యందు నిండా అభిమానముగా జరిగించినాడు he has treated me honourably. ఒకని మీద అభిమానము ఉంచు to be partial to a person. అభిమానము లేనివాడు one without affection; unkind అభిమాని n. He who loves. విశ్వాసము గలవాడు. మతాభిమాని a bigot. కులాభిమాని one who stands up for his caste. దేశాభిమాని the advocate for his country, he who loves his country, a patriot. అభిమానించు v. a. To honor, favour, protect, patronise, regard with kindness. గొప్ప చేయు, గౌరవించు.

(p. 137) ibhamu ibhamu. (Skt of elephant. Gr. elephas.] An elephant. ఇభయాన ibhayāna. n. A graceful woman, i. e., a woman with an elephant's easy and luxurious rolling gait. ఇభి ibhi. n. A she-elephant ఇభ్యుడు ibhyuḍu. A ruler, rich man. (A. ii. 125.)

(p. 171) ullāsamu ullāsamu. [Skt.] n. Joy, delight, amusement. సంతోషము. ఉల్లాస పురుషుడు ullāsa-purushuḍu. A luxurious man or man of pleasure. A prodigal. ఉల్లాసి ullāsi. A cheerful man. ఉల్లసించువాడు. 'సమిదుల్లా సిధనంజయుండు.' T. iv. 136.

(p. 408) cāpalamu or చాపల్యము chā-palamu. [Skt. from చపలము.] n. Fickleness. Inconstancy జిహ్వచాపల్యము luxuriousness, or gluttony. Whimsicality.

(p. 1338) sukhamu sukhamu. [Skt.] n. Happiness, welfare, health, safety, pleasure, enjoyment, delight. ఆనందము, ఆరోగ్యము, సౌఖ్యము, క్షేమము. Heaven, స్వర్గము. నయనసుఖము the delight of one's eyes, the name of a kind of cloth. adj. Pleasing, delightful, agreeable, comfortable, easy, happy, well, cheerful, healthy. ఆనందమైన, ఆరోగ్యమైన, క్షేమమైన. సుఖసత్కథానినోదంబున నుండగా while he was passing his time agreeably in listening to a pious story. సుఖజీవనము sukha-jīvanamu. n. A happy or easy life. కష్టములేనిబ్రతుకు. సుఖజీవి sukha-jīvi. n. A prosperous or happy person. కష్టములేక జీవనముచేయువాడు. సుఖ ప్రసవము an easy and safe accouchement. సుఖభోగి one who lives at ease. సుఖభోగులు sukha-bhōgulu. n. A sort of grain. ధాన్యవిశేషము. H. iv. 157. సుఖముగా sukhamu-gā. adv. Happily, safely, in good circumstances. సంతోషముగా, క్షేమముగా, మీ తండ్రి సుఖముగానున్నాడా is your father well? సుఖవాసి or సుఖప్రాణి sukha-vāsi. n. A delicate, luxurious person, one who lives at ease. సుకుమారము గానుండేవాడు. సుఖసంకటము or సుఖరోగము sukha-sankaṭamu. n. (lit. the pains of pleasure) Venereal disease. మండలరోగము. సుఖాసీనుడు sukh-āsīnuḍu. n. One who is seated at his ease. హాయిగా కూర్చున్నవాడు. సుఖి sukhi. n. One who is happy, one who possesses happiness or pleasure, one who is in good health, సుఖముగలవాడు, సుఖించు or సుఖియించు sukhinṭsu. v. n. To be happy, well or at ease; to be glad, rejoice, be comforted. ఆనందించు, హర్షించు.
