(p. 118) āmūlamu ā-mūlamu. [Skt.] adv. Radically, to the root. ఆమూలము adj. Entire, root and branch. ఆమూలాగ్రముగా (lit. from the root to the top.) Through and through, completely. ఆమూలాగ్రముగా పని చెడినది it is ruined root and branch.

(p. 160) unmūlamu un-mūlamu. [Skt.] adj. Radical. or from the root వేరుతెగిన. ఉన్మూలముగా radically, by the roots. ఉన్మూలించు un-mūlinṭsu. v. t. To root up, eradicate, destroy. పెల్లగించు. ఉన్మూలితము unmūlitamu. adj. Eradicated, pulled up by the roots. వేరుతో పెల్లగింపబడిన.

(p. 196) eḍamu ēḍamu. [Skt.] adj. Deaf. ఏడమూకము. Deaf and dumb. ఏడమూకుడు ēḍa-mūkuḍu. n. A deaf mute. చెవిటిమూగ. A cheat మోసకాడు.

(p. 189) emuka or ఎమ్ము or ఎమ్ముక emuka. [Tel.] n. A bone. A difficulty, a puzzle. మారునియెముకలు Coral. ఎముకలవరుగు or ఎముకలవర్రు skin and bone, a starved object. ఎముకలేని చెయ్యి a liberal heart, (lit. a hand without a bone in it.) ఎమ్మూట em-mūṭa. [ఎమ్ము+ఊట] n. A Marrow మూలగ.

(p. 204) aimūla ai-mūla. [Tel. for అయిమూల] adj. Oblique, diagonal. Oblong and crooked. Rhomboidal. మూలవాటు. ఆ యిల్లు అయిమూలగానున్నది that house is crooked, not straight; ఆ యిల్లు అయిమూలనున్నది that house is in a corner.

(p. 207) ogarucu or ఒగర్చు ogaruṭsu. [Tel.] v. i. To gasp, to breathe hard. వగరుచు. ఒగర్పు or ఒగరుపు ogarpu. n. Gasping, difficulty of breathing, panting. ఒగర్పు మూట ogarpu-mūṭa. n. A certain fee or àllowance on grain granted to reapers, &c.

(p. 241) kanumūyu or కనుమొరగు kanu-mūyu. [Tel.] v. t. To deceive. వంచించు. కనుమూసిగంతలు kanu-mūsi-ganṭalu. n. The game called a blind man's buff.

(p. 290) kukka kukka. [Tel.] n. A dog. ఆడకుక్క a bitch. కుక్కపిల్ల a pup, or whelp, a puppy. కుక్క adj. Inferior. కుక్కగొర్రె kukka-gorre. n. The rib-faced deer or barking deer, Cervulus muntjac. (F.B.I.) కుక్కతులసి kukka-tulasi. n. The white basil: (Ainslie. ii. 91.) ocymum album, as distinguished from the proper Tulasi called ocymum sanctum. కుక్కపాల kukka-pāla. n. A plant from the fibrous leaves of which bow strings, &c. are made. Aletris hyacinthoides; Sansevicra zeylanica. (Roxb.) చాగచెట్టు. A wild species of the పాలచెట్టు, Periplocā Tunicata:. అజగంధీ, వటపత్రిక. కుక్కముల్లు kukka-mullu. n. An eruption like measles, miliary eruption or nettle rash. కుక్కమూతి పిందె kukka-mūti-pinde. A blasted fruit. A proverb says చెట్టుచెడేకాలానికి కుక్కమూతి పిందెలు పట్టుతవి producing blasted fruit is a mark that the tree will never thrive again. Metaphorically, wild behaviour portends ruin. కుక్కవావింట kukka-vāvinṭa. n. A plant called the Dog Mustard, Cleome viscosa. శ్వాసబర్బర.

(p. 302) kūkaṭi kūkaṭi. [Tel.] n. Curls, ringlets. పిల్లజుట్టు. adj. chief. ప్రధానము. కూకటి మూగ kūkaṭi-mūga. n. The Indian Roller or the forktailed shrike. పాలపిట్ట. కూకటివేటు kūkaṭi-vēru. n. The tap root, that from which other shoot out. రాజవంశమున్ కూకట. 'వేళ్లతో బెరికి.' Jai. i. 72.

(p. 393) gōmātramu gō-mūtramu. [Skt.] n. Cow's urine. గోమూత్రకబంధము gō-mūtra-ka-bandhamu. n. Verses arranged in the shape, imagined to belong to a cow's urine. See an instance in Magha. XIX. 46.
