A proverb says. కుక్కకువచ్చేవన్ని గొగ్గిపండ్లు all a dog's teeth are crooked, i.e., all one does is wrong, he cannot do any thing properly. గొగ్గిముత్తెము goggi-muttemu. n. A pear-shaped pearl. కొసగలముత్తెము.

The thigh. తొడమీద ఉంచు to place on the lap. పెందొడ the thicker part of the thigh. చిరుదొడ the thinner part of the thigh. తొడమాంసము. a leg of mutton. తొడపుట్టువు lit: one born from the thigh, i.e., a Vaisya. తొడపాశము or తొడబెల్లము toḍa-pāṣamu. n. (p. 724) palamu palamu. [Skt.] n. A weight, equal to that of ten pagodas. నాలుగుకర్షములయెత్తు. One-fortieth part of a viss. పలమెడుచల్లితే తూమెడు పండేపాటిభూమి a land which will produce a bushel for a half handful of seed corn. పలము or పలలము palamu. n. Flesh, meat, మాంసము. 'పలలతోరణము.' (A. vi. 19.) a string of dried mutton chops. పలవైతృకము pala-paitrikamu. n. A rite at a funeral (now obsolete) of making flesh offerings. A verse says. అశ్వాలంభం గవాలంభం సన్యాసం, పలవైతృకం, దేవరేణ సుతోత్పత్తిః కలౌ పంచవిసర్జయేత్.

To be surprised, or astonished, ఆశ్చర్యపడు. 'ద్వి అంబికేశుడుతొల్లినలిబడిపెట్టి, యిమ్ముగాజనులెల్లనెరుగగనిపుడు, పడివెట్టిగిన్నరబ్రహ్మయ్యగారి, కెడపకయనినరుల్ బుడిబుళ్లువోవ, వినిచూడవచ్చితివినవె.'
