[Tel.] n. Obstacle, hindrance, obstruction. అడ్డి, విఘ్నము. అడ్డబాస aḍḍa-bāsa. n. A nose jewel. బులాకి. అడ్డబొట్టు aḍḍa-boṭṭu. A cross mark worn by the Hindus on their fore-head. అడ్డమాను aḍḍa-mānu. Lit the trouble is over, the child is born. అతడు తండ్రి గండమునకు పుట్టినాడు he was born to be the cause of his father's ruin. గండపాళి ganḍa-pāḷi. n. The temple or side of the head. గండమండలము ganḍa-manḍalamu. n. The temples of the head.

(p. 366) giṇḍi ginḍi. [Tel.] n. A narrow necked vessel. సన్నపుమెడగలచెంబు. plu.: గిండ్లు పోతగిండి a vessel with a spout, like a teapot.

(p. 380) gurutu or గుర్తు gurutu. [Tel. from గురి aim.] n. A mark, a sign, a trace, a token, A limit, an extent మేర. కనుగుర్తులెక్క a memorandum. నాకు గుర్తులేదు. I do not recollect. గురుతుగా అడుగు to enquire particularly. గురుతుగాచూచు to look into narrowly. గురుతుపట్టు or గుర్తెరుగు to recognise.

To die: to expire. చచ్చుమాట a deadly word, a curse. చచ్చుమన్ను solid earth: mere earth: loose dry earth. ఘోరపుచావుచచ్చె he died a horrid death. చచ్చుఅప్పు a bad debt. కారముచచ్చిన ఆవాలు mustard that has lost its sharpness. చచ్చి బ్రతికినాడు he has had a narrow escape. చచ్చువాయువు ṭsaṭsu-vāyuvu. n. Paralysis, cramp. వాని కాళ్లు చచ్చుఅయిపోయినవి his legs have become paralysed.
