(p. 4) aṅgana angana. [Skt. from అంగము] n. A woman. పుణ్యాంగన a noble dame.

(p. 51) anāmadhēyuḍu a-nāmadhēyuḍu. [Skt.] n. A nameless fellow, an insignificant fellow, a mere cipher. A mere nobody, one of no repute, ఊరు పేరు లేనివాడు, అప్రసిద్ధుడు.

(p. 55) anulakṣitamu an-upalakshitamu. [Skt.] adj. Unseen, unobserved, unnoticed.

(p. 67) abādhitamu a-bādhitamu. [Skt.] adj. Unobjectionable. నిరాక్షేపమైన. ఇది అబాధితముగానున్నది it is not open to objection.

(p. 87) alabhyamu a-labhyamu. [Skt. from లభించు] adj. Unobtained; unobtainable; unattainable. Unexpected, casual. పొందబడని, అకస్మికమైన. అలభ్యయోగము unexpected good fortune. ఇది అలభ్యయోగముగా ప్రాప్తమాయెను this happened unexpectedly.

(p. 103) asura or అసురుడు asura. [Skt. lit. 'Assyrian'.] n. A demon, giant. రాక్షసుడు. The Asuras were such as Rāvaṇa and Bana, who were adorers of Siva. అసురకృత్యము a horrible deed. అసురధ్రువము asura-dhruvamu n. The south pole. దక్షిణధ్రమము. అసురసంధ్య asura-sandhya n. The dusk, the evening. సాయంకాలము. (In the Vedas and in the cuneiform inscriptions, the word అసుర is used in the sense of (1) a nobleman, (2) a powerful being, (3) a god. In later Skt. literature, it is always used in an evil sense.)

(p. 107) ākāśamu ākāṣamu. [Skt. another form of అవకాశము emptiness, empty space, or interval.] n. (p. 133) indruḍu indruḍu. [Skt.] n. Indra, the god of the sky corresponding to the Roman Jupiter armed with thunder-bolts and noted for his amours. In composition the word denotes excellence. గజేంద్రము or గజేంద్రుడు a noble elephant.

(p. 133) impu or ఇంబు impu. [Tel.] n. Fulness, satisfaction, ease, Fondness, liking. 'కండ్ల కింపైతే కడుపుకింపు' that which pleases the eye pleases the appetite. ఇంపైన pleasing, comfortable. ఇంపితము impitamu. [ఇంపు+ఇతము] adj. Pleasant. ఇంపైన. ఇంపుగా or ఇంపెసలార Finely, sweetly, nobly. Suitably, pleasantly. ఇంపొలయు im-polayu. [ఇంపు+ఒలయు] v. n. To suit, to be pleasing.

(p. 144) īḍyamu īḍyamu. [Skt.] adj. Noteworthy, glorious, noble. పొగడదగిన.

(p. 154) uttaṃsamu uttamsamu. [Skt.] n. An earring: a tire or tiara. పూగమ్మ, సిగబంతి, ఉత్తంసితము uttamsitamu. adj. Set or worn as a crown. ఉత్తంసుడు uttamsuḍu. n. The chief or noblest man.

(p. 157) udāttamu udāttamu. [Skt.] n. A sort of quaver used in reading the Veda. ఉదాత్తము udāttamu. adj. Generous, liberal, noble, glorious, Exceeding, great, vast. గొప్ప. ఉదాత్తుడు udāttuḍu. n. A noble man, a liberal man. గొప్పవాడు, దయగలవాడు.

(p. 157) udīrṇamu udīrṇamu. [Skt.] adj. Generous, noble, great. ఉదారము, గొప్ప.

(p. 192) evaḍu or ఎవ్వడు or ఎవ్వాడు evaḍu. [Tel. (ఏ+వాడు] Pron. Who. Plural ఎవరు, ఎవ్వరు. Who. ఇట్లా యెవ్వరున్ను చేయరు nobody does so. ఎవడేనియు whosoever ఎవడైనా any one. ఎవ్వరి సొమ్ము వారికి ఇమ్ము give each his own money. ఎవ్వరి జీతము వారికి ముట్టి ఉన్నది all of them have received their wages. ఎవరూ లేరు nobody is there.

(p. 199) ēpu ēpu. [Tel.] n. Increase, excess. Pride, arrogance, presumption అధికము, వృద్ధి, గర్వము, విలాసము. Pain బాధ.
