The exordium, prelude, prologue dedication, or praise of a deity, recited in benedictory verses at the commencement of a religious ceremony or poem. నాందీ యాగము the opening rite. Anand. vi. 1. The opening benedictory verses in a drama. నాటకప్రథమాంగము, మొదలుపెట్టడము. నాందీకరుడు or నాందివాది nāndī-karuḍu. n. One who pronounces the benediction. ఆశీర్వాదముచేయువాడు.

(p. 1051) mrōyu or మొరయు mrōyu. [Tel.] v. n. To sound, ring, resound. To roar. ధ్వనించు. మ్రోగు, మొరబెట్టు. To proclaim, denounce, say, declare, (as a law or book denounces.) 'అని యిట్లు నిఖిలాగమాదులు మ్రోయగని.' Mari. BP. page. 175. మ్రోయించు mrōyinṭsu. v. a. To sound or cause to resound. ధ్వనింపజేయు, ధనువుమ్రోయించి twanging his bow. Kusalava, page. 129.

(p. 1257) śēru or నేరు ṣēru. [H.] n. A seer, a weight of eight palams or ten ounces, or about a quart in measure. ఎనిమిదిపలములయెత్తు. కచ్చాశేరు the same more definitely. పక్కాశేరు the large seer which contains three ordinary seers or twenty-four palams. సవాశేరు one-fourth of a viss.
