(p. 215) olucu olutsu. [Tel.] v. a. To peel, shell, flay. To pare off, tear off. తోలూడ్చు. ఒలిచినపప్పు grain cleaned from the husk. ఒలవనిపప్పు grain in the husk. పండు ఒలిచి అరచేతపెట్టినట్టు చెప్పినాడు he said (it) as plainly as a fruit is peeled from its skin and placed in the hand; he gave a graphic description. (p. 786) peccu peṭsṭsu. [Tel.] n. Peel, peelings, rind. ఫలాదులపైత్వక్కు, తొక్క Surplus, excess, premium, profit in exchange. హెచ్చు. మార్కము. పైపెచ్చులు incidental profits like fees. adj. Much, great, అధికము. adv. Excessively, మిక్కిలి. 'ఇట్లుపాటచ్చరులు పెచుపెరిగి విచ్చలవిడి' A. vi. 103.

(p. 793) pella or పెళ్ల pella. [Tel.] n. A lump, clod; a chip; a flake; a raw brick. పెల్లగించు or పెళ్లగించు pella-ginṭsu. v. a. To pull out, root out, draw out. To dig up, unbury, unearth, eradicate. ఆ చెట్టును పెళ్లగించి మరియొక చోట పెట్టినాడు, లేక, పాతినాడు he took up the tree and planted it elsewhere. పెల్లగిల్లు or పెల్లగిలు pella-gillu. v. n.To come out by the roots. పాదుఊడిలేచు. To run away, పారిపోవు. వాడు అత్తవారింటినుంచి పెల్లగిలివచ్చు గతిగా నుండలేదు he seems unlikely to stir from his mother in-law's house. గాలివానకు చెట్లు కుంకటివేళ్లతో పెల్లగిలినవి the trees were torn up by the roots by the storm. ఆ గోడగార అంతా పెల్లగిలిపోయినది all the plaster of the wall came off or peeled off.

(p. 804) poṭṭu poṭṭu. [Tel.] n. Husk, bran. ఉముక. The scales of fish. Vēma. 1364. పొట్టు దాన్యము grain that has a coat or husk, as వడ్లు, అరిగలు, కొర్రలు, చామల్ను వరిగెలు, &c. పొట్టుకర్ర an empty sprout in a ear of corn. గట్టివిడిచిపెట్టి పొట్టుకు పోరాడెదవా will you give up the real for the false? మీదితోలు పొట్టుపొట్టుగా రాలిపోయినది the skin peeled off in scales. పొట్టుపొరలగు poṭṭu-poral-agu. v. n. To be troubled, harassed or tormented. పీడితమగు. 'అప్పాపాత్ముండెట్లునుం జక్కంబడక తనచలంబుతోన పొట్టపొరలయ్యె కయ్యంబు పొడుచు వాడుగాని.' M. V. iv. 88.

(p. 811) pora pora. [Tel.] n. A fold or plait, as of cloth or of fat. మడత. A coat, as of a onion. A layer or stratum of soil. A film over the eye. The disease called a Cataract. The skin of a snake, పాము యొక్క కుబుసము. A secret. An error, mistake, ప్రమాదము. A flaw, defect, as in a stone. Deceit, fraud, duplicity, కపటము. పొరలగడ్డ a boil or ulcer of which the successive coats peel off. పొరపడు or పొరబడు pora-paḍu. v. n. To be mistaken, to make a mistake, to err. ప్రమాదపడు. పొడపాటు pora-pāṭu. n. A mistake, error, oversight. ప్రమాదము. పొరపు porapu. n. Difference. భేదము. adj. Different. వేరైన. పొరపొచ్చెము pora-pochchemu. n. Fraud, deceit, guile; a trick, feint. కపటకల్మషము. 'నీకూరిమి, పొరపొచ్చెముగాక యుండబోనగవలయున్.' M. VII. iii. 288. అనగా నీ స్నేహములో కుత్సిత కల్మషములులేక ఉండవలసినది. పొరపోవు pora-pōvu. v. a. To err, mistake. To go the wrong way in drinking or eating. పొరదారినెక్కు, పొరయెక్కు.
