(p. 131) iṅgitamu ingitamu. [Skt.] n. Hint, sign, gesture, symptom. Intention, purpose, inclination. ఆకారేణైన చతురస్తర్కయంతి పరేంగితం, గర్భస్థం కేతకీపుష్ప మమోదదేనైవ షట్పదాః. From the countenance the wise discover the disposition as bees discover the unblown lily by its scent. ఇంగితజ్ఞుడు penetrating, skilful in reading a man's character, one who sees the heart. పరేంగితము knowledge of another's intention.

(p. 143) īgu īgu. [Tel. another form of నీగు] v. a. To enter, penetrate. 'నాభిసొరంగమీగి' Vasu ii. 91. To give, bestow. సీ 'పానీయముననర్ఘ్యపాద్యమీగి' Naish iv. 11. To get rid of. To do away with. పోగొట్టు, తొలగించు, నివర్తించు. 'ఋణత్రయంబునీగి.' A. iv. 341. ఈగు v. n. To fail, lose: submit, (compare. వీగు.) To perish. ఓడు, డస్సిపోవు, చచ్చు. To be crushed. ఒత్తుడుపడిపోవు. 'ఈగెదరాకటిచే.' Hari Vams. i. 23. They perish with hunger.

(p. 269) kāḍu kāḍa. [Tel.] v. a. To enter, penetrate, go through, pierce, transfix. నాటు. A. iii. 37. & A. i. 66.

(p. 363) gāḍu gāḍu. [Tel.] n. Longing, rage, hankering. Lust. A prank, caprice, proneness itch. నీకేమి గాడుపట్టిది what evil desire drove you to do this? గాడుదుర్విటుడు the lustful libertine. గాడుగల prurient, eager, prone, vicious, rank. గాడు v. a. To enter, penetrate, go through, pierce, transfix. నాటు. A. iii. 37. & A. i. 66. To pierce or pinch with the finger nail Eurabh. i. 97. గాడుపడు to be bewildered దిగ్భ్రమనొందు. A. vi. 11. గాడుచను or గాడుసారు gaḍu-ṭsanu.v. a. To enter, go through, penetrate.

(p. 373) guccu or గ్రుచ్చు guṭsṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To pierce or prick. To thread, string together. పూసలుగుచ్చు to string beads. తాడు గుచ్చినాడు he ran the thread through, or inserted it. చేతులుగుచ్చు to join hand in hand, one's fingers being laced between those of his friend. కాగిటగ్రుచ్చె he embraced her. గుచ్చుకొను guṭsṭsu-konu. v. n. To enter, penetrate, pierce. కాలికి ముల్లుగుచ్చుకొనినది a thorn pierced the foot. గుచ్చుకపోయినకండ్లు sunken eyes. కండ్లు గుచ్చుకొనిపోతవి I cannot keep my eyes open.

(p. 452) coccu ṭsoṭsṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To enter, find one's way into, penetrate, ప్రవేశించు, చొరబడు. To undertake, to begin, to set to work. శరణుచొచ్చినాడు one who takes refuge with another. ముక్కుచొచ్చి కన్ను ప్రవేశించేవాడు one who would steal the very teeth out of your head. 'సత్యచరితుల పరిపాలనమునకు జొరడెయతడు will he not interpose to rescue the righteous? See చొరు

(p. 592) digu digu. [Tel.] v. n. To come down from a higher place. To alight, drop, come or go down, descend from; to dismount. To be landed, unladen, or disembarked, as goods. దిగుమతియగు. To fail, break down, sink, fall back, fall in debt or arrears. దిగబడు. To lodge, dwell, halt, ప్రయాణమందు దారిలో విడియు. To distil, or drop down, as any secretion. To settle, as sediment or dregs. To abate, cease, go off, become less, diminish, as fatness. To sink, as ink in paper, or water in earth. To penetrate or go in, as a stab. To come forth, as fruit from the bud, as in మామిడికాయలు దిగుచున్నవి. ఒళ్లు దిగిపోయినది he is reduced by sickness. బుడ్డదిగినమనిషి a man with a rupture. దానికి నీళ్లు దిగవు she cannot swallow. మదముదిగిన యేనగు an elephant not in rut. ఆ పనిలో దిగినాడు he went into that business. The causal form is దించు or దింపు. (q. v.) See also దిగి దిగుడు or దిగ్గుడు diguḍu. n. A descent, or downward incline. adj. Descending, going down. Disembarkation, importation, landing of goods, ఓడలోని సరకులను రేవునందు దించుట. దిగుమతిచేయు to land, unship, import. దిగువ diguva. n. The under side. క్రింద. adj. Lower, inferior, under. adv. Below, under, కిందుగా, దిగువాయి diguvāyi. adj. Lower, inferior. తక్కువ. దిగువారు digu-vāru. (దిగుడు+పారు.) v. n. To fall down. మీదనుండిక్రిందికి పడు. To flow, కారు.

(p. 604) dūkonu dūkonu. [Tel. from దూయు.] v. a. To penetrate, pierce. To learn, acquire. Mand. i. 66. To suck up. To have, పొందు, కలుగు, ఆస్వాదించు. To oppose. v. n. To spread, as a scent, వ్యాపించు. దూకొన్న suitable, proper, ఒప్పిదమైన.

(p. 605) dūyu or దుయ్యు dūyu. [Tel.] v. a. To penetrate, go through. గుచ్చుకొను. To pull off the scabbard, as a sword. To take palm leaves out of a volume. ఊడదీయు to strip off leaves or boughs. To pluck, take, as a handful of grass. వరదూసి pulling off the scalbard. దెబ్బ దూసిపోయినది the blow glanced off. పేగులు దిస్సిరాపొడిచి stabbed him so that the bowels came out. Pal. 424. దూయుతీగె Same as దుశ్శిరము. (q. v.) దూయించు dūyinṭsu. (causal of దూయు.) v. a. To draw across, to pass over. కాలినగడ్డపారచేత దూయించెను he passed a hot iron over the hand. (This is a ceremony of ordeal in oaths, quite distinct from cauterizing.) దూసిపోవు to go through or penetrate. To glance off, as a dart.

(p. 605) dūru dūru. [Tel.] v. a. To reproach, curse, rebuke, abuse. నిందించు. To enter, penetrate, rush in. చొచ్చు. To be introduced or inserted. ప్రవేశించు. చీమదూరని అడివి a forest impenetrable even to ants. n. Rebuke, censure, reviling, abuse, scandal దూరుచు or దూర్చు dūruṭsu. v. a. To thrust in, push in. దూరుపడు dūru-paḍu. v. n. To be censured. నిందింపబడు.

Kasikh. iv. 283. భేదకుడు bhēdakuḍu. n. One who cut or divides. One who sows enmity among friends. భేదించువాడు. భేదితము bhēditamu. adj. Cut or divided, భేదింపబడిన. భేద్యము bhēdyamu. adj. That which can be cut or divided, భేదింపదగినది.

(p. 1235) vyāpiñcu vyāpinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To pervade, spread, or extend. అంతట ప్రసరించు. అతనిబుద్ధి తర్కములో వ్యాపింపలేదు his mind cannot comprehend logic. వ్యాపి vyāpi. n. One who pervades, వ్యాపించువాడు. వ్యావృతి Same as వ్యాపారము. (q. v.) వ్యాపకము vyāpakamu. adj. Spreading, extending, diffusive, comprehensive; influential. విస్తరించే, వ్యాపించే. రాజువద్ద అతనికి నిండా వ్యాపకముగానున్నది he has great influence with the king. వ్యాపకత, వ్యాపకత్వము or వ్యాపకము vyāpakata. n.
