(p. 20) akku akku. [Tel.] n. The breast or chest. రొమ్ము. అక్కునచేర్చి embracing. వాని అక్కులు చెక్కులు ఎండినవి (lit: his breast and cheeks are dried up.) he is emaciated. అక్కుపక్షి a starveling, a wretch, a fool. అక్కుగొర్రు a spear piercing the heart. 'అవనీశులకునెల్లనక్కుగొర్రగుచు.' BD. 4. 1858.

(p. 292) kuṭṭaḍamu kuṭṭaḍamu. [Tel.] n. The act of stitching. కుట్టుపని. Also, stinging. కుట్టడపువాడు a tailor. చెవులుకుట్టడము piercing the ears for earrings. 'రవికుట్టడపు దోరపు నిగ్గు౛ంటీలు తనులతాద్యుతికి గైదండయొసగ.' శుక. i.

(p. 292) kuṭṭu kuṭṭu. [Tel.] v. n. To ache, be sore, to be in pain. వానికి కండ్లుకుట్టినవి he has got sore eyes. Metaphorically, he is envious. కుట్టు. v. a. To prick, bore, pierce: to sting. To sew or stitch. పండ్లు కుట్టుకొను to pick the teeth. మడిచికుట్టు to fold and sew, i.e., to hem. చెప్పుడు కుట్టు to make shoes. చెప్పులు కుట్టేవాడు a cobbler, మాదిగవాడు. కుట్టుతేళ్లు scorpions, villians, కంటకములు, క్షుద్రులు. కుట్టు. n. A stitch, a seam. Sewing, needle-work. A stitch in the side కొంచెము కడుపు నొప్పి. A prick, or puncture, piercing. Spite, grudge, pique. కడుపుకుట్టు belly-ache: spite, grudge. కుట్టుసురు the last breath, or gasp. కుట్టుకాడ or కుట్టుపోగు kuṭṭu-kāḍa. n. A wire placed in the ear in preparation for an earring. కుట్టు పోయు kuṭṭu-pōyu. v. n. To stitch or sew slightly.

(p. 365) gālamu or గాలాము gālamu. [Tel.] n. A hook. గాలమైనమాట a heart-piercing speech. గాలమువేయు to throw a hook into water to catch fish. గాలకాడు gāla-kāḍu. n. A fisherman. చేపలను పట్టువాడు.

(p. 410) ciki or చికిబికి chiki. [Tel.] adj. Small. చిన్న. Sharp. Sweet. చికితావిమోవి a sweet lip చికిచూపు a piercing eye.

(p. 645) nārasamu nārasamu. [from Skt. నారాచం.] n. An iron style or arrow: a pin or spike run through a volume to keep it together. A tool used by housebreakers for boring walls. Proverbially used for a piercing glance. వాని నాలుకమీద నారసము జేసినారు they have put a padlock on his lips. నారసము or నారసగంటము an iron style (గంటము) of which each end is pointed, but with different tips for writing on harder and softer leaves.

(p. 794) pēgu or ప్రేగు pēgu. [Tel.] n. An entrail, gut, or bowel. Generally used in the plural: పేగులు. పేగులు తెగేటట్టు పరుగెత్తినాడు he ran so fast as to break his wind. పేగులు తెగిన గుర్రలు a broken winded horse. అది నా పేగు గనుక నా మనసు తాళలేదు as it was my own child I could not endure to see this. పేగులుతెగ నవ్వినాడు he is ready to split his sides with laughter. పేగునపట్టినతీట rankling or piercing pain. మేమందరము ఒక పేగు we are all sons of the same womb. పేగెక్కుట the wringing of the belly. ఆ బిడ్డకు పేగుపడినది the child is suffering from spasams. పేగుతట్టు or తోము to handle or rub the belly to remove pain. పేగు౛ారు pēgu-ḍzāru. v. n. To have rupture or hernia, బుడ్డదిగు.
