(p. 215) oḷlu oḷḷu. [Tel. another form of ఒడలు] n. The body, person, figure. నీ ఒళ్లు ఎట్లా ఉన్నది how do you do? how are you? వానికి ఒళ్లు తిరుగుచున్నది he is giddy. వానికి ఒళ్లు తెలియలేదు he is unwell వానికి ఒళ్లుతలిములేదు he is out of his senses. ఒళ్లువంచి ఈ పని చేయవలసినది you must bend your back to this work. ఒంటి of the body; ఒంటికి to the body; ఒంట on the body. నీ ఒంటికావరమణతును I will crush your pride. వాడిని అన్నము ఒంటపట్టినది he digested the food. ఒళ్లుపెట్టు or ఒళ్లుపట్టు to become plump బలియు. మంత్రసానియెదుట ఒళ్లు దాచుతావా will you conceal your form in the midwife's presence, i.e., will you conceal the truth from your lawyer?

(p. 254) karma or కర్మము karma. [Skt. √ kri = to do.] n. An act or deed: action in general. పని. Religious action, such as sacrifice; ablution. Actions, conduct, a course of procedure. Destiny; fate, that is, the allotment, to be enjoyed or suffered in the present life, of the fruit of the good and evil actions performed in former lives. Moral duty; obligation imposed by peculiarities of tribe, occupation, &c. Funeral rites. The object of a verb in Grammar. వాని కర్మము ఎవ్వరు చేసినారు who performed his funeral rites? An art, as శిల్పకర్మము the art of statuary. Doing: ఇది నీకర్మమే this is all your doing, it is your own fault. Ill hap, misfortune, hard lot: affliction. అయ్యో కర్మమా O dear! oh what a pity! కర్మము or పాపకర్మము a sinful deed. కర్మజీవి See కర్మఠుడు. కర్మఠము karmaṭhamu. [Skt.] n. Ceremonial precision. కర్మఠుడు karmaṭhuḍu. n. A formalist, a ritualist: one who is earnest in the performance of the rites of religion. కార్యమును చివరవరకు సాధించేవాడు. కర్మణిక్రియ karmaṇi-kriya. n. A transitive verb. అకర్మక్రియ an intransitive verb. కర్మరంగము karma-rangamu. n. The five sided sour green plum called Averrhoa Carambola, or అంబాణవుకాయ. కర్మసాక్షి karma-sākshi. n. (p. 273) kāya kāya. [Tel. from కాచు.] n. 1. A green unripe fruit. అరటికాయలు green plantains. 2. A nut, berry, pod, bulb, knob, head. 3. Anything round, as the head (తలకాయ) the bob of a plummet: a boss or round piece. 4. The word is used for a thing or article: as a piece at chess తుంటకాయ a wicked thing or creature. 5. A pimple: a wart. తవ్వడముచేత వాడిచేతులు కాయలుకాచినవి his hands are callous or hard with digging: he has a wart on his hand. 7. A bottle. రెండు కాయలను ఒకడే తీసుకొన్నాడు he alone drank two bottles. 8. As an affix it often leaves the sense unaltered: thus తల or తలకాయ the head. పిల్ల or పిల్లకాయ a child. గొంతు or గొంతుకాయ the throat. పుస్తె or పుస్తెకాయ a marriage token worn on the neck మొట్టు or మొట్టికాయ a blow or knock. ఎండ్రకాయ a crab. చెంపకాయ a slap on the cheek. Some fruits are called కాయ even though ripe, thus (from టెంకి shell) టెంకాయ a cocoanut. మిరపకాయ a chillie. ఉల్లికాయ an onion. కూరగాయలు or కాయగూరలు vegetables. కాయధాన్యములు kāya-dhānyamulu. n. Pulse: all sorts of grain contained in pods: as పెసలు, కందులు, సెనగలు, &c.

(p. 373) guzju guzzu. [Tel.] n. A prop: an upright piece of wood used in supporting a shorter beam on a longer one in a shelving roof. A dwarf. Pulp, thick juice. చింతపండుగు౛్జు the pulp of tamarinds mixed with water. గద్దరికొమ్మలగు౛్జు (G. 151.) a short ox పొట్టియెద్దు. The cotton pod after the flower has fallen. గు౛్జు adj.
