(p. 598) dīrghamu dīrghamu. [Skt.] adj. Long, either as regards size or time. n. A long vowel; thus, సకారదీర్ఘము means సా sā. దీర్ఘకాలము a long time. దీర్ఘ జంఘము dīrgha-janghamu. n. Steadiness, patience, gentleness, ఆత్రపడక విచారించుట. నిదానముగా మాట్లాడు speak gently. నిదానములేని మాట an uncertainty, a matter about which we are in doubt. పొద్దు నిదానము the exact time. నిదానస్థుడు nidāna-sthu-ḍu. n. A correct, prudent, thoughtful or patient man. నిదానించు nidāninṭsu. v. n. To pause, to deliberate or ponder. ఆత్రపడకవిచారించు నిదానముగా nidāna-mu-gā. adv. Steadily, soberly.

(p. 1190) vivēkamu vi-vēkamu. [Skt.] n. Discrimination, judgment, the faculty of distinguishing, prudence, discretion, సదసద్వివేచన, విభేదజ్ఞానము, తెలివి. 'వినువివేకమనెడు వింతగొడ్డలిచేత నలయవిద్యయనెడునడవినరికి.' Vema. 341. 'తనవివేకములోకమువారు మెచ్చగా.' T. ii. 38. వివేకములోకమువారు వివేకముకలిగియుండు to come to oneself, reflect, be wise. తెలివి తెచ్చుకొను. వివేకి vi-vēki. n.
