(p. 349) gaganamu gaganamu. [Skt.] n. The sky. firmament, the ether. The empyrean. adj. Impossible, puzzling. దుర్లభము. అదేమిగగనము what great marvel is this? గగనకుసుమము lit. 'the sky blossom' a phrase for 'nothing,' as milk from a stone. గగనప్రయత్నము an impossible or overwhelmingly great undertaking. గగనరత్నము the gem of heaven, i.e., the sun. (p. 372) guggiḷlu guggiḷḷu. [Tel.] n. Boiled gram for horses or cattle. ఇనుపగుగ్గిళ్లు a jaw-breaker, a puzzling book. L. XI. 117. మినుపగుగ్గిళ్లు కావలె. యినుపగుగ్గిళ్లువలదు give me what I can understand. గుగ్గిళ్లగంప a kind of fee paid in harvest time.

(p. 411) cikku or చిక్కుకొను chikku. [Tel.] v. n. To be found, to be caught, or ensnared. దొరకు. To remain, be left మిగులు. అది నాకు చిక్కినది I have got it. To stop or halt, to remain. వెనుకచిక్కు to remain behind, to fall in the rear. To grow thin or lean. కృశించు. చిక్కని సొమ్ముగానున్నది it is unattainable, it cannot be got. చిక్కించుకొను chikkinṭsu-konu. v. a. To get, obtain. చేతిలో చిక్కించుకొను to get into one's hands, to get hold of. వెతలచిక్కు to be seized with sorrow. ధైర్యము చిక్కనందున as I dared not do so. చిక్కినది the rest, the remainder. చిక్కిపోవు chikki-povu v. n. To become lean. చిక్కు n. A tangle, మెలి. Puzzling, perplexing, entangled, intricate, confused, difficult, troublesome, baffled. చిక్కుజడలు tangled hair. చిక్కుకంపు a rancid smell (of oil .) చిక్కుతాళము. n. A lock with many wards, and which, like a patent lock, can only be opened by those who know it.
