A loan of grain, grain lent to be paid in grain or advanced on trust to a buyer. చేటకొల్లారు chēṭa-kollāru. n. A sloping roof without side walls, as over a door. A shed. మూడిండ్లుకలిపి కట్టినది. చేటుచేరు chēṭa-chēru. n. A mode of dress worn by women ఆడువారియొక్క ఒక విధమైన కోకకట్టు. చేటచేరుపు chēṭa-chērupu. n. An easy slope, a gradual rise.

(p. 662) nivītamu nivītamu. [Skt.] n. A veil, a mantle, a wrapper. కప్పుకొనబడినది, కప్పుకొనేబట్ట. The Brahminical thread, so called when worn round the neck as a necklace, at certain religious rites. పేరు వలె వేసుకొన్న ౛ందెము. రుమాలుగుడ్డను మెడను నివీతముగా వేలాడగట్టి అందులో నొప్పిగానుండే చేతిని ఉంచుకొన్నాడు he has slung his arm in a handkerchief.

The nether world, Hades, క్రింది లోకము. ఆ గుంట పాతాళము వలెనున్నది that pond is as deep as Hades. ఈ బావిలో నీళ్లు పాతాళములో నున్నవి the water is very low down in this well. 'పాతాళప్రశ్నలుమాని మేల్కొనుము.' A. vi. 77. టీ పాతాళప్రశ్నలుమాని అధోగతి ప్రశ్నలు విడిచిపెట్టి, దూరప్రశ్నలుమాని, నిండా గూఢముగా నుండేదానిని అడగడమును చాలించుకొని పాతాళగంగ. పాతాళగంగ pātāḷa-ganga. n. The name of the river that flows through the Hindu Hades. Also, the name of that branch of the Krishna which flows past Sri Sailum. పాతాళభది pātāḷa-bhēdi. n. A grappling hook or drag to recover things sunk in a river.

Fighting. పోరుదిండి pōru-dinḍi. n. A quarrelsome person, an epithet applied to Nārada, నారదుడు. పోరుపెట్టు pōru-peṭṭu. v. n. To tease, to plague, తొందరపెట్టు. To cry aloud, as a child. పోరాడు or పోరితమాడు pōr-āḍu. v. n. To fight, grapple, contend, struggle. కలహించు, యుద్ధముచేయు. పోరాట or పోరాటము pōr-āta. n. A combat, a fight, a dispute, కలహము, యుద్ధము. పోరించు pōrinṭsu. v. n. To breed a quarrel, to incite to quarrel. జగడానకు ఉసికొల్పు. 'నీపోటువాటుననిపుడిట్లుమమ్ము, పోరించితివిజంత్రబొమ్మనాయక్క.' HD. ii. 1194. పోరితము pōritamu. (పోరు+ఇతము.) n. War, a battle, a fight. యుద్ధము, పోరాటము. A quarrel, కలహము. Misunderstanding, స్పర్ధ.

(p. 919) bhāṇḍamu bhānḍaṁu. [Skt.] n. An earthern pot or vessel. Any vessel. కుండలోనగు మంటిపాత్రము, పాత్రము. Capital, principal. మొదలిసొమ్ము, అసలు, మూలధనము, బండాలము. Harness, trappings. అశ్వభూషణము. ఏకభాండాశనులుగా నున్నారు they eat out of the same dish, i.e., they form one family. పృథగ్బాండాశనులైనారు they began to eat food prepared in separate vessels, i.e., they formed a separate family. భాండశ్రాద్ధము or ఘటశ్రాద్ధము a ceremony used in divorce, when some funeral rites are performed as though a relation was dead. భాండాగారము bhānd-āgāramu. n.
