A rattle. గిలకతాడి gilaka-tāḍi. n. The male palmyra. గిలకబండి gilaka-banḍi. n. A low built dray, a creaking cart. గిలకల కోళ్లమంచము a cot with small bells hung on the legs. గిలకచెట్టు gilaka-cheṭṭu. n. A tree with rattling pods and a yellow papilionaceous flower, called Crotolaria juncea: సంకలీ వృక్షము. నూనెగిలక (Rox. ii. 357.) the tree called Cœalpinia Oleosperma.

(p. 374) guḍuguḍu guḍu-guḍu. [Tel.] n. A small hookah. చిన్నహుక్కా. గుడుగుడుమని guḍu-guḍu-m-ani. adv. With a sound, rattlingly, rapidly: గుడుగుడుమని పరుగెత్తెను (he) ran rapidly. గుడుగుడుకుంచములు Same as గుడిగుడిగుంతలు. (q. v.)

(p. 391) gōḍālu gōḍālu. [Tel.] n. The rattlins of a ship's shrouds. నూలు నిచ్చెనమెట్లు.

(p. 412) ciṭapoṭa chiṭa-poṭa. [Tel.] n. Irritation, anger. కోపము. A rattling sound as of falling leaves, fruit, &c. adj. Small, delicate చిటపొటమాటలు trilling accents. చిటపొటలాడే excited, in agitation.

(p. 495) ḍubuḍakka ḍubu-ḍakka. [Tel.] n. A small rattling drum. డుబుడక్కలవాడు or బుడబుడక్కులవాడు ḍubu-ḍakkala-vāḍu. n. A mountebank or wizard who uses a drum as a sign of his trade.

(p. 1034) mokari mokari. [Tel.] adj. Sounding, మ్రోగునట్టి. Noisy, prattling, అసంబంధవచనము లాడునట్టి. మొకరితుమ్మెద mokari-tummedu. n. A large black bee. ధ్వనిచేసే తుమ్మెద. 'నెత్తావులకు వెకలులైయాడు మొకరితుమ్మెదలు రొదలుగల మెరుగుడుంబురువులట్లు.' Swa. iii. 37. టీ మొకరితుమ్మెదలు, గండుతుమ్మెదలు.

(p. 1127) vadaru or వదురు vadaru. [Tel.] v. n. To spread, అడరు, వ్యాపించు. To prattle, chatter, jabber. ప్రేలు. 'నోరునిలువకవదరిన.' Vema. iii. 305. n. Chattering, prattling. ప్రేలుడు The long gourd, సొరకాయ, ఆనపకాయ. వదరుతీగె the creeping plant of the long gourd, Cucurbita lagenaris. ఆనపతిగె, సొరతీగె. 'ఆ వరదుడైనయీశువరము ననిదియొక్క, వదరుపుట్టెనెట్టివరమొయనుచుదాని బారవైనగానున్న.' M. III. iii. 44. వదరుబోతు, వదురుబోతు or వదర vadarụ-bōtu. n. A chatterbox, an empty talker. ప్రేలువాడు.
