(p. 27) acca aṭṭsa [Tel.] adj. Pure, real, unmixed. అచ్చ తెనుగు Telugu without foreign words. అచ్చగుండ్ల పేరు a necklace of pure beads.

(p. 39) atanuḍu atanuḍu. [Skt.] n. The 'bodiless,' or incorporeal god, i.e., Cupid.

(p. 48) anaṅguḍu an-anguḍu. [Skt.] n. The incorporeal one, an epithet of Cupid. మన్మథుడు. అసంగలేఖ a love letter.

(p. 65) apōhamu apōhamu. [Skt.] n. An unwarranted inference Inferring the existence of what does not really exist any where లేనిది ఊహించుట. Ascertaining by investigation, decision. నిర్ణయము, నిష్పత్తి It commonly means a lie, a false hood, a false charge. అబద్ధము, కల్ల, తప్పు ఫిర్యాదు. నా మీద అపోహము చెప్పినాడు he laid the blame upon me falsely.

(p. 98) aśarīravāṇi a-ṣarīra-vāṇi. [Skt.] The speech of an invisible being, a voice from heaven. ఆకాశవాక్కు. అశరీరి a-ṣarīri. n. A spirit, an incorporeal being. దేహము లేనివాడు. 'తనకునబ్బాలుచే చావుగలదని యశరీరి చేవిని' (Vish. viii. 78.) being warned by a voice from heaven that this child should cause his death.

(p. 102) asalu asalu. [H.] adj. Original, principal, excellent, real, genuine, legitimate. మొదటిదైన, ముఖ్యమైన, స్వచ్ఛమైన, సంకరముకాని. అసలుదావా the original complaint. అసలు వాది the original complainant. అసలు బేరీజు the original rents or account. అసలు n. The principal, as opposed to the interest మూలధనము Plu. అసళ్లు originals. అసళ్లు ఉంచుకొని నకళ్లు ఇచ్చినాడు he retained the originals and gave the copies. Also, origin, stock in trade.

(p. 109) āgatamu āgatamu. [Skt.] adj. That which is come. Gained, realized, obtained, gotten. వచ్చిన, పొందబడిన.

(p. 113) ātma ātma. [Skt.] n. The soul, the living principle. జీవుడు. Self, the individual, a person. The body శరీరము. Nature. స్వభావము. Mind, intellect, reason, understanding. బుద్ధి, మనస్సు. పుణ్యాత్ముడు a pious minded man. పాపాత్ముడు a bad hearted man. God, spirit. ఆత్మ. adj. A suicide or self murderer. ఆత్మజుడు ātma-juḍu. n. A son, as springing from oneself. ఆత్మజ్ఞుడు ātmagnyuḍu. n. A sage, who knows God and his own heart. ఆత్మనేపదము ātma-nē-padamu. n. The grammatical name for the middle voice in కొను; as వ్రాసికొను. ఆత్మవంచన ātma-vanchana. n. Self delusion. ఆత్మస్తుతి ātma-stuti. n. Self applause. ఆత్మార్థము ātmārthamu. adv. (p. 161) upadaṃśamu upa-damṣamu. [Skt.] n. A relish, a pickle or condiment. ఊరుగాయ. A painful venereal disease. కొరుకు రోగము.

Peculiar, odd, queer, Pretty, curious, Cunning, false, fictitious. కందువమాటలు a quibble: a play upon words. కందువ పద్మము a fairy lily, not a real one. కందువ రాజులు mere pretenders: mock warriors.

(p. 273) kāyamu kāyamu. [Skt.] n. The body. అతడు చచ్చినప్పటికిన్ని బహుధర్మాత్ముడని పేరుపడి యశఃకాయముతో యిప్పిటికిన్ని జీవించుచున్నాడు though he is dead, through his reputation for charity he still lives in his fame. కాయము [Tel.] n. A certain restorative medicine, administered to a woman in childbed. బాలెంతలకిచ్చే మందు. H. i. 114. కాయపుష్టి kāyapushṭi. n. Stoutness. కాయసిద్ధి corporeal perfection imagined to be attainable by religious austerities. కాయసిద్ధుడై ఉన్నాడు he bears a charmed life.

(p. 274) kārakamu kārakamu. [Skt.] adj. Making, causing. సందేహకారకమైన causing doubt or doubtful. సంతాపకారకమైన grievous. దుఃఖకారకమైన grievous, causing sorrow. కారకహేతువు the efficient or active cause. In Telugu it is used to denote heat. కారకజ్వరము a burning fever. కారకదేహము a hot or fervish temperament. మేహకారకము venereal feverishness. పిత్తకారకము bilious feverishness. కారకములు నాలుగువిధములు stimulants are of four sorts.
