(p. 21) akṣaya akshaya. [Skt.] adj. Durable, permanent imperishable. నాశనరహితమైన. అక్షయలోకము, the undecaying world, heaven. అక్షయపాత్రము akshaya-pātramu. [Skt.] n. (lit. the inexhaustible vessel.) A cup for receiving alms, a beggar's dish. బిచ్చమెత్తుకొనే పాత్ర Alms given to a brahmin beggar.

(p. 123) ārṣamu ārsḥạmu. [Skt. from ఋషి] adj. Relating to, belonging to or derived from a Rishi. ఋషిసంబంధమైన. Spiritual, prophetical; inspired or revealed by means of a Rishi. Archaic. పురాతనము. n. A form of marriage in which a girl is freely given away in accordance with the Sastras, her parents receiving a cow and an ox in return. ధర్మార్థము వరునినుండి ఆవును ఎద్దును పుచ్చుకొని కన్యనిచ్చి శాస్త్రానుసారముగా చేయు పెండ్లి.

(p. 130) āhavanamu āhavanamu. [Skt.] n. A sacrifice. యజ్ఞము. ఆహవనీయము āhavanīyamu. n. One of the three consecrated fires in the grand Hindu sacrifice. It is lighted from the house-holder's perpetual fire: and is prepared for receiving oblations.

(p. 288) kuṇḍamu kunḍamu. [Skt.] n. An earthen pot. A pit or pot for receiving and preserving consecrated fire. A fire pit నిప్పుల గుండము.

(p. 764) puccukonu puṭsṭsu-konu. v. a. To take This verb like 'To take' in English is used in many senses, thus: To receive; to purchase. To eat, to drink to take medicine, poison, &c. To exact (service.) సెలవుపుచ్చుకొను to take leave or retire. సమ్మతిపుచ్చుకొను to take (one's) consent. అతడు వైష్ణము పుచ్చుకొన్నాడు he embraced the Vaishnava creed. పుచ్చుకోలు putsṭsu-kōlu. n. The act of taking, or receiving, పుచ్చుకొనుట.

(p. 828) pratigrahamu prati-granamu. [Skt.] n. An acceptance of alms. The act of receiving anything. A gift. ప్రతిగ్రహించు prati grahinṭsu. v. a. To accept, or receive alms.

(p. 1272) saṅgrahamu san-grahamu. [Skt.] n. Seizing, grasping, obtaining, receiving, earning, acquisition, స్వీకారము, స్వీకరించడము, సంపాదించడము. Collecting, amassing, కూడబెట్టడము. పోగుచేయడము. A compilation, abridgment, compendium, సంక్షీప్తగ్రంథము. One verse says కర్తవ్యం ధర్మసంగ్రహం. adj. Short, brief. సంక్షేపమైన. సంగ్రహించు san-grahinṭsu. v. a. To seize, grasp, snatch, obtain, acquire, earn, get, సంపాదించు. To abridge, compile, summarize, సంక్షేపించు, సంగ్రహించుకొని వెళ్లు to walk away with anything. లంకించుకొనిపోవు.

(p. 1376) svāgatamu svāgatamu. [Skt. స్వ+అగతము.] n. Welcome, salutation, receiving. క్షేమము, కుశలము, కుశలప్రశ్నము, సుఖముతోడి రాక. 'గద్దియసైనసియింపం జేసి స్వాగతంబడిగిన.' H. i. 86.

(p. 1394) hōmamu hōmamu. [Skt.] n. A burnt offering. అగ్నియందువేల్చడము. 'హోమధేనువు.' HD. i. 1810. హోమగుండము a hole in the ground or an altar, for receiving the fire for an oblation. హోమాగ్ని sacrificial fire.
