(p. 128) āśramamu āṣramamu. [Skt.] n. Abode, cell, hermitage, retreat (equivalent to a Living, rectory or see). State, stage, period or time of life from a religious point of view. There are four such stages, viz, 1. బ్రహ్మచర్యము bachelorhood or studentship. 2. గార్హస్థ్యము house-holdership or being head of a family. 3. వానప్రస్థము being an anchorite. 4. సన్యాసము being a recluse. ఆశ్రమధర్మము the duties peculiar to each stage of life. ఆశ్రమస్వీకారము āṣrama-svīkāramu. n. Embracing the ascetic condition: bidding farewell to the world.

A secular person as distinguished from a solitary recluse, గృహస్థుడు, గృహపతి. ఆ యూరిసంసారులు the inhabitants (కాపులు) of the village సంసారి a good or respectable woman, కులస్త్రీ.

(p. 1301) samādhi samādhi. [Skt.] n. A grave, or tomb. శవమునుపాతి పైనికట్టినది. గోరీ. Deep meditation on the Deity, devout abstraction, absorption of thought. దేవునియందు తదేకధ్యానముగానుండడము. సమాధిస్థానము a place where a recluse sits when praying or meditating. దేవధ్యానము మీదనుండునప్పుడు కూర్చుండేచోటు. వారు జలసమాధిని పొందిరి they found a watery grave.

(p. 1333) siddhamu siddhamu. [Skt.] adj. Ready, prepared, అయితమైన. Accomplished, completed, fulfilled, ఈడేరిన. Cooked, boiled, వండబడిన. Constant, eternal, ఎడతెగని, నిత్యమైన. Real, right, true, certain, న్యాయమైన, రూఢమైన, యథార్థమైన, ప్రసిద్ధమైన. పడడమునకు సిద్ధమైయుండినందున as it was ready to fall. n. Readiness, accomplishment. 'కొట్టిన నవియకుండుట కాయసిద్ధి.' L. xix. 166. ఆయన సిద్ధినిపొందినాడు he died or went to heaven. సిద్ధిరస్తు let (him) be happy, be it successful. సిద్ధించు siddintsu. v. n.
