(p. 84) ardhamu ardhamu. [Skt.] adj. Half; a moiety. సగము. అర్ధచంద్రుడు or అర్ధేందువు the crescent moon, a half moon. అర్థనారీశ్వరుడు the god Siva, in his form of half man and half woman. అర్థరాత్రి midnight. అర్ధాంగీకారము half permission, doubtful consent. అర్ధాక్షరము a half letter. (that is) a letter incompletely sounded, ask in పృథక్ prithak. అర్ధచతష్టి purblindness. అర్ధగోళము a hemisphere. అర్ధరథుడు a warrior who fights on a car along with another. అర్ధరాత్రార్థదివసము the equinox. అర్ధవ్యాసము half a circle. అర్ధాశనము half a meal. అర్ధోరుకము arthōrukamu. n. A short petticoat. వేశ్యలు సగముతొడల దాకా తొడుగుకొనే చల్లడము, లాగు.

(p. 117) ābōtu ā-bōtu. [Tel. ఆవు+పోతు.] n. A bull. ఆబోతును విడుచుట to release a bull at a man's funeral (this being a prescribed rite.) ఆబోతురౌతు one who rides on an ox, Siva.

(p. 159) uddhariñcu ud-dharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To raise, lift, set up, support, up-hold, re-establish, restore, rescue, deliver, preserve, protect. పైకెత్తు, కాపాడు. వేదములనుద్ధరించు to restore the Vedas. సంసారమునుద్ధరించు to support the family. 'నగరగలిసిన గ్రామము నుద్ధరించినాడు' he saved the village which had been sequestrated.

(p. 165) uppu uppu. [Tel.] n. Salt. పెట్లుప్పు saltpetre. రాతి ఉప్పు rook salt. వెదురు ఉప్పు a sort of gum (tabasheer. To strike off (the head) or behead. To cause to beat.

(p. 320) kobbari or కొబ్బెర Kobbari. [Tel.] n. The kernel of the cocoanut. కొబ్బరిబెల్లము sugar made from cocoanut tree juice. కొబ్బరికాయ kobbari-kāya. n. A cocoanut. కొబ్బరిపువ్వు kobbari-puvvu. n.
