(p. 176) ūru ūru. [Tel.] v. n. To be full, steeped or soaked. To be puffed or fat. To increase or grow great. To exude, leak out, coze, or spring as water. To overflow as feelings. To sink as ink into paper. To take effect as a medicine. నోరూరుట the mouth watering. ఊరబెట్టిన చెక్క timber left to steep or steam so as to be seasoned. తేటలూరగా full of light. ఊరుగాయ or ఊరగాయ ūru-gāya. n. A pickled fruit, a pickle. ఊరుబిండి ūru-biṇḍi. n. A paste or chutney (used as sauce,) of fried grain and chillies. మోదములూర with overflowing love.

(p. 217) ōḍu ōḍu. [Tel.] n. Defeat, loss, failure, a forfeit, a crack, chink, hole. ఆ పెనము ఓడుగానున్నది that saucepan is cracked. ఓడుబిళ్ల ōḍu-biḷḷa. Pan tiles, such as are used for roofs. T. iv. 202.

(p. 274) kāramu kāramu. [Tel.] n. Pungency, hotness of taste: sauce. Salt earth used in bleaching cloth చవుడు. Tinder: being cloth dipped in saltpetre. A caudle for infants. Caustic, lunar caustic. కారము చచ్చినపొగాకు tobacco devoid of flavour. కారము చచ్చినసున్నము lime devoid of heat. కారముగలసున్నము sharp lime. adj. Pungent, hot to the taste. A particle added to a letter in naming it. Thus కకారము the letter K. An affix denoting, making or doing, thus: ఝణఝణత్కారము resounding, making a ringing sound.

(p. 299) kuluku kuluku. [Tel.] v. n. To move gracefully. To put on pretty airs, or attitudinize. To play tricks. To bloom. To be melodious. శృంగారముగా కుదులు. పారావతంబకులికెడి పలుకులు the melodious notes of the dove. కులుకుపువ్వులు beautiful flowers. ఏమికులుకుతుంది how pretty she is! కరుణారసము కులుకుకన్నులు eyes beaming with kindness, or bright with affection. కులికిన pert, saucy. కులుకు v. a. To move, or shake. To rub over. ఫుయు. To pour or sprinkle పోయు, వేయు. n. Grace, elegance, charm, loveliness. Harmony in music, శృంగారచేష్ట, శృంగారపుకుదిలిక, ఒయ్యారము, విలాసము, కులుకులాడి a belle, a pretty woman ఒయ్యారకత్తె. కులుకు adj. Fine, pretty, graceful, Harmonious, melodious. సొగసైన.

(p. 328) kōla kōla. [Tel.] adj. Long. కోలముఖము a long face. కోల మెరుగు forked lightning. నిలువుమెరుగు, ఐరావతి. 'శివుదిక్కునందు వేకువ గోలమెరులు మెరసె.' హరి. పూ. vii. కోలాకు a long leaf. కోలాకుపొన్న a certain tree. H. iv. 11. కోలతపేలా an oblong cup, a sauce boat.

(p. 358) garige garige. [Tel.] n. A small earthen pot, or bottle with a spout. గరిగెపిడత A small saucepan.

(p. 364) gābu gābu. [Tel.] n. A jar for storing grain. కొప్పెర. An iron saucepan or frying pan. Weeds, trash, dirt, separated from grain by winnowing. గాబుతొట్టి a watering trough. గాబుతీయు to weed land.

(p. 388) goḍḍu goḍḍu. [Tel.] n. A beast. పశువు. Barrenness గొడ్రాలితనము. adj. (p. 626) naṃzu , నం౛ుకొను or నం౛ుకొను nanḍzụ. [Tel.] v. n. To eat by small morsels, to nibble, to pick at to eat a little of any thing like pickle, &c., as a relish the principal food. శూరలోనగువ్యంజనములను కొద్ధి కొద్దిగా తినుట నంజుకొనేవస్తువు a relish or thing so eaten. 'తచ్ఛాకంబునంజుచుం దలంచు కొనియె.' A. iv. 243. టీ నంజుచుం=ఆస్వాదించుచు, అనగా నంచుకొనుచు. 'చందుపుటంబులనంజనిచ్చుచున్.' Parij. iv. 27. నం౛ or నం౛ు nanḍza. n. A tart. నం౛ుకొను వస్తువు. A pickle, ఉపదంశము, ఊరుగాయ. Smacking with the lips, చప్పరించడము. నం౛ు nandzu. n. Poison. విషము. Beri-beri, blood poisoning, నెత్తురుచచ్చి తెల్లపారుట. A lingering, indolent or dormant disease. నంజకురువు an indolent ulcer. నంజు చిగురు a gum boil. నం౛ుడు nanḍzuḍu. n. Flesh, flesh meat. మాంసము, ఎరచి. పిల్లకాయకు నంజుడు పెరిగినది the boy has outgrown his age or strength. నం౛ుడుతిండి nanḍzuḍu-tinḍi. n. A flesh-eater, a carnivorous being. మాంసముతినువాడు. A demon, రాక్షసుడు. నం౛ుపారు nanḍzu-pāru. v. n. To becomne pale, through the blood having deteriorated; to become anaemic, నెత్తురు చచ్చి తెల్లపారు. వాని శరీరము నంజుపారినది he became anaemic. నం౛ులు nanḍzulu. n. Pickles or any thing eaten as a relish with food. 'మోనినంజులం జవిగొనుచుం గ్రోలిసోలి.' Parij. ii. 60. her lips being sauce for the dish.

(p. 633) namḥ namaha. [Skt.] n. Hail! దండము. నమసితుడు or నమస్వితుడు nama-situḍu. n. One who is worshipped, అర్చితుడు. నమశ్చివాయ namaṣ-ṣivāga. (p. 694) paccaḍi paṭsṭsaḍi. [Tel.] n. A chutney, a hotchpotch, a sort of broth, or green sauce, made of vegetables, mixed with tamarind juice, salt, and chillies. ఊరుబిండి. plu. పచ్చళ్లు. మామిడికాయలపచ్చడి mango chutney. A bit or fragment, తునక. దానిని పచ్చడి పచ్చడిచేసినాడు he reduced it to powder.
