(p. 17) ambāramu ambāramu. [H.] A heap of grain. ధాన్యరాశి. Also, the government share in a crop. (Vizag) అంబారసొఝు to heap up grain అంబారములుగా పడియుండు to lie in heaps. ఉభయరాశి అంబారము a heap of grain containing both the shares due to government to the landholder.

(p. 17) aṃśamu amṣamu. [Skt] n. A share, part, portion, a fraction; the denominator of one; a degree of latitude or longitude (Geog.); a subject భాగము, విషయము, దేవుని యంశమున పుట్టినవాడు he who is born from a portion of the deity, he who is of divine origin; అంశపురుషుడు a fortunate man, a man of talent or parts. వర్ణనాంశము a descriptive part or passage in a poem. ఈ అంశము నాకు తెలుసును I am acquainted with this subject. ఈ అంశములో in this respect. వాడు అన్ని అంశములు తెలిసినవాడు he knows every thing. అంశచక్రము a table consulted by astrologers in casting nativities, an astrological diagram for ascertaining the degree of the sun in any sign. దశాంసము the tenth part; అంశసవరణ = reduction of fractions; అంశనీయము or అంశ్యము = that which is divisible.

(p. 29) ajā ajā. [H.] Amount. The whole, grand total. Also, the gross produce of a land including both the ryot's and government shares. [Vizag.]

(p. 80) ari ari. [Tel.] Affix denoting possession. నేర్పు skill, నేర్పరి skilful, సిగ్గు shame, సిగ్గరి timid. అరి ari. [Tel.] n. A bowstring. Tax, tribute. వింటినారి, ప్రజలవద్ద రాజులు మర్యాదకు పుచ్చుకొనేపాలు. అరివెట్టు to pay revenue. ఆరిగోరులు the share both of the government and of the inhabitants, i.e., the total produce. పుల్లరి tax on grazing lands. 'అరులుమిగుల గొనిరాజులు, నరులకు నెంతయును భయమొనర్తురు.' M. III. v. 302.

(p. 138) iru iru. [Tel. cognate with రెండు.] adj. Two, both. ఇరుకెలకులు or ఇరుగడ both sides. ఇరుగోరు both shares, the whole, the gross crop. ఇరుచక్కి both sides. ఇరుచాళ్లదుక్కి a second ploughing. ఇరుతిగ or ఇత్తిగ six at dice: ఇరుతూము or ఇద్దుము two bushels. See తూము. ఇరుదెసల on both sides. ఇరునాలుగు twice four. ఇరువది or అరువై or అరవై twice ten. అరు on both sides, from side to side. ఇరువురు or ఇరుగురు both persons.

(p. 159) uddhāraṇamu or ఉద్ధారణ or ఉద్ధారము ud-dhāraṇamu. [Skt.] n. Lifting up. Protection. Sustaining. Rescuing, delivering, releasing, restoring. మతోద్ధారణచేయు to re-establish a religion. ఉద్ధారాంశము a share granted to the man who re-established something that has fallen into decay. పోయినదానిని మళ్లీ సాధించినవానికిచ్చే విశేష భాగము. ఉద్ధారము చేయు to sustain: support. ఉద్ధారకుడు ud-dhārakuḍu. n. He who sustains or nourishes, a saviour, a redeemer రక్షకుడు.

(p. 164) uppattulu uppattulu. [Tel.] n. Shares, portions. బియ్యము ఉప్పత్తులు చేసినారు they shared the grain.

(p. 205) oṇṭu onṭu. [Tel.] n. A share, division. A village community గ్రామసమూహము. A unit in numeration. సారెని ఒంటు the place or square in which a counter stands in a game at draughts. ఒంటు or ఒంటుబావిలి. n. A sort of ear-ring worn by by men. పురుషులకర్ణభూషణము. ఒంటు v. i. To agree with one's health, to be wholesome or salubrious. ఇముడు, అనుకూలించు. To touch, to go near, to approach చేరు. ఆ దేశానికిన్ని ఈ దేశమునకున్ను ఒంటక ఆశక్తముగానున్నది or అక్కడి నీళ్లకును ఇక్కడి నీళ్లకును. ఒంటనందున వానికి ఒళ్లు కుదురులేదు his health suffered from change of water, (change of air.) (p. 255) karru karru. [Tel.] n. A plough share. (infl. కర్తి.) కర్తిమొన the point of a plough share. కర్తిమొలలు the iron clamps which connect the plough with the share. See కర్తి. గొంతులో కర్రువేసినట్టున్నది I feel a burning pain in my throat. A stain డాగు.

(p. 271) kāpu . kāpu. [Tel. from కాచు.] కాచు. n. Keeping, attendance. Protection, guard. రక్షణము. Heat, warmth (This is from కాగు.) Productiveness కాయలుకాచుట. The crop or fruit. కాపుడిగినచెట్టు a tree that is past bearing. కండ్లకు రెప్పలు కాపుగానున్నవి the eyelids are a protection to the eyes. కాపు ఉంచు to place a guard. కాపు or కాపువాడు n. A tenant. A farmer, a cultivator. A rustic or countryman. A person, an individual, a dweller. మంచు కొండకాపు or హిమాచలవాసి. Siva రుద్రుడు. సొమ్ముకాపు a holder or owner of property. పాలికాపు a member or shareholder. మహనాటికాపులు leaguesmen, members of the (Mahanādu) community. కాపుగడ or కాపుడు kāpugaḍa. n. Protection. కాచుట, రక్షించుట. కాప kāpa. adj. Appertaining to the farmer caste. కాపమాటలు rustic language. The vocative of కాపు a farmer. ఓకాప, నీవెట్లొకో వచ్చితి విటకు O farmer, how did you come here? B.D. iv. 1963. కావత. kāpata. n. A country girl, a rustic. The female of కాపు. కాపుతనము kāpu-tanamu. n. The rustic condition, the state of farmers. ఈ కాపుతనమును విడిచిపెట్టడము మేలు it would be better to give up the farming business. కాపుది A woman of the farming caste, a female rustic.
