To dread. కంపించు, భయపడు, భూమి అదురుచున్నది the earth trembles. దాన్ని చూడగానే వాని గుండెలు అదిరినవి his heart quivered to see this. కుడి కన్ను అదురుచున్నది my right eye tingles. వాడు వట-టి అదురుగుండె he is a coward. అడరు or అడురు n. Concussion, shaking, tremour, trembling, fear, కంపనము, చలనము, కొట్టుకొనడము, భయము. భూమి అదురు a tremour or convulsion of the earth. వానికి తండ్రి వద్ద కొంచెము అదురు ఉండవలెను he ought to fear his father. అదరుగడ or అదురుగడ adarugaḍa. [Tel.] n. Daunting, fright. బెదురు. అదరిపడు or అదిరిపడు adari-paḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To caper about, to curvet. ఉలికిపడు. to be arrogant. అదరిపాటు n. Pride. అదరిపాటున. adv. Suddenly, unexpectedly. ఏమరిపాటున, 'అదరిపాటున వారాళియుదుటు చూచి.' N. i. 126.

(p. 185) eḍapu eḍapu. [Tel.] v. a. To separate, disunite, break. To shiver or smash. ఎడయజేయు. ఎడపక eḍapaka. adv. Continually, without break.

(p. 186) ettaramu or ఎత్తరవు ettaramu. [Tel.] adj. High ఉన్నతము, ఎత్తు. ఎత్రతత్తరలు ettara-tattaralu. n. Fragments, bits, shivers. వానికెత్తరతత్తరలుగానున్నది he is silly, or in his dotage.

(p. 376) gudiya gudiya. [Tel.] n. A club, a mace, a cudgel. A clog fastened to a cross cow. గుదియ కర్రలు gudiya-karralu. n. (In house building) small sticks placed across the rafters. గుదిగుంజలు. గుదియతాలుపు gudiya-tālupu. n. Lit. The mace-bearer, i.e., Yama, the god of death. దండధరుడు. గుదిపడు gudi-paḍu. v. t. Six at dice, &c. చక్కువగడ ṭsakku-pagaḍa. n. Seven, in games. చక్కుచేయు ṭsakku-chēyu. v. a. To chop, shiver, crush, smash. ఖండించు.

'చెవులు చిందరచేసెఝిల్లికానినదంబు' the crickets chirped with earsplitting shrillness. HD. i. 1745. చిందర adj. Ugly, disagreeable, ruinous. చిందరవందర chindara-vandara. adv. (anuk) Piece-meal; here and there; in pieces, in shatters. Anir. iii. 92. చిందరవందరచేయు or చిందర చేయు chindara-vandara-chēyu. v. n. To shatter or shiver. To hack, to cut to pieces, to spoil. చిందరవందరలుగా adv. tossed: at random, in confusion: recklessly, dishevelled, flying loose as hair. చిందరపోవు to spring a leak తూటుపోవు. చిందరగొను to be enraged or furious. విజృంభించు. చిందరరేగు to be infused with ఆవేశమెత్తు.

(p. 717) pariga or పరిగె pariga. [Tel.] n. Ears of corn that drop down when a crop is harvested, gleanings of corn. చేనిలో రాలినవెన్ను. పరిగెలు fragments, shivers, తునియలు. 'పైనున్న చోళ్లలను పరిగెలు చేసి, బొమిడికంబములను డుల్లలపాడుచుచురాగ.' Pal. 439.

(p. 750) piñcusēyu pinṭsu-sēyu. [Tel.] v. a. To scatter, shiver, destroy. ఛిన్నాభిన్నము చేయు. 'బిరుదుమగలనమర్చిన పిండుబించుసేయ, బలితంపు నేర్పులచ్చెరువు బెనుప.' M. IX. i. 137. అనగా శూరులయిన సేనాధిపతులను ఏర్పరచిన దండును ఛిన్నాభిన్నము చేయడానకు విశేషమయిన చాతుర్యములు ఆశ్చర్యమును కలుగజేయగా.

A piece, bit, fragment, slice, a flat thin bit, split wood. చీలిక, తునక. దూదేకులబద్ద a cotton beater's show. ఈ భాష మహాకష్టమని బద్దలుకట్టుతారు they figure this language as very difficult. బద్దలుకట్టి మాట్లాడినాడు he arranged his arguments to much advantage. కావటిబద్ద the wooden part of a yoke (కావడి.) See బద్దె. బద్ద or బ్రద్ద adj. Lean, lank. పలచని. 'బద్దపిక్కలనంటిబలసిన తొడలు.' HD. ii. 1087. 'పాచిపట్టినపండ్లు బద్దచేతులును.' BD. iii. 558. బద్దలగు badda-l-agu. v. n.
