(p. 120) āra āra. [Tel.] n. A shoemaker's awl. మాదిగవానిసూది. ఆర adv. (lit. so as to fill) Much; fully. (From ఆరు.) It is often added to a noun; as చెవులార వింటిని I heard it distinctly: కండ్లార చూస్తిని I saw him plainly with my own eyes. కడుపార భోజనము చేసినాను I ate to the full. ఆర āra. [Tel.] A vocative plural suffix as అన్నలార. O brothers!

(p. 387) goḍagari or గొడారి goḍagari. [Tel.] n. A shoemaker, a worker in leather. మాదిగవాడు. గొడగర the cobbler's caste. The name of a tribe. 'మూలలకుమాంసంబు మరిగొడారికిని దోలమనున్నట్లు' BD. iv. 51.

(p. 595) dimme dimme. [Tel.] n. A cone. An ingot, or cylindrical lump of gold. A wooden cork or stopple, కొయ్యబిరడ. A candlestick. A sort of rocket. A heap (as of sand.) A hillock. The stamen of a flower, పువ్వులోనిదుద్దు, మిద్దె. A shoemaker's last, which is conical. The beazle of a ring. A piece of wood built into a wall to hook a bracket, &c., on. A stamp or impress. గజ్జెలదిమ్మె a steel board with depressions in the surface, used by goldsmiths. See దిమ్మ, దిమ్మెట్లు. దిమ్మెట్లుపడు dimmeṭlu. n. A deafening sensation dimmeṭlu-paḍu v. n. To become deaf.
