State, condition, situation: trouble, difficulty, atrait. దశ, సంకటము. వాడు నిండా దురవస్థలోనున్నాడు he is in a wretched state. అవస్థాత్రయము, అనగా జాగ్రత్స్వప్నసుషుప్తులు the three states: viz., waking, sleeping and dreaming. అవస్థాచతుష్టయము, అనగా బాల్యావస్థ the period of childhood. యావనావస్థ the period of youth. వార్ధకావస్థ old age. మరణావస్థ the agony of death.

(p. 130) āspadamu āspadamu. [Skt.] n. Place, room, situation: basis, ground for a supposition. సందేహాస్పదమైన doubtful. వ్యాజ్యాస్పదమైన disputed.

(p. 160) udyōgamu udyōgamu. [Skt.] n. An attempt, endeavour, undertaking; enterprise, exertion; activity. యత్నము. a profession, employment, occupation, calling, mission, office or situation; ఉద్యోగము చేయు to excercise an office. ఉద్యోగస్థుడు or ఉద్యోగి udyōgasthuḍu n. An officer, a functionary. ఉద్యోగించు udyōginṭsu. v. t. To undertake, set to do, to turn one's mind to: to apply oneself to యత్నించు.

(p. 221) aupādhikamu aupādhikamu. [Skt. from ఉపాధి.] adj. Temporary, not permanent. That which arises from circumstances. ఔపాధికశక్తి official authority: the power that circumstance or situation gives: ఔపాధిక శరీరము a bodily form assumed for a while, as in an incarnation.

To pass away, elapse, కడచు. To die. చచ్చు. గతికల్పించు to devise an expedient. గతికుడు gatikuḍu. n. He who has a resource. అనన్యగతికుడై having no other resource. గతుడు gatuḍu. n. One who is gone or entered. ఆనందాబ్ధిగతుండనై I plunged in a sea of bliss. గత్యంతరము gat-y-antaramu. n. An alternative: an other means, or resource.
