(p. 9) aṇḍa anḍa [Tel.] n. Nearness; assistance, protection, patronage. ఆసరా, ఆశ్రయము. అండగోడ a buttress, a sloping wall, built to support another. ఆయన అండ చేరి ఉన్నాను I am under his protection. ఆయనను అండచేసికొనియున్నాను I look upon him as my supporter, I hold to him.

(p. 11) antargatamu antargatamu. [Skt.] adj. Intermediate, internal, inner, hidden, లోపలి, లోని, మరువబడిన. అంతర్గతజ్వరము internal fever, slow fever.

(p. 73) amaṇḍamu a-mandamu. [Skt.] adj. Not slow, violent, not little, great, extreme. అమందవ్యధ deep grief. అమందసౌభాగ్యము great wealth.

(p. 238) kadalu or కదులు kadalu. [Tel.] v. n. To move, stir, move from or removed, to totter or shake, to be displaced or dislocated. To attempt, to try యత్నించు. To set out on a journey. ప్రయాణమగు. మోకాటి చిప్ప కదిలినది the knee joint is dislocated. n. Movement చలనము. Trail యత్నము. కదలుడు kadaluḍu. n. A journey ప్రయాణము. కదలించు, కదలుచు or కదల్చు kadalinṭsu. v. t. To move, stir, shake, jog: to mention కదలునట్లు చేయు, ప్రస్తావించు. కదలిక kadalika. n. Motion, stirring. చలనము. Trail, attempt యత్నము.

(p. 296) kumulu kumulu. [Tel.] v. n. To smoulder, burn, consume without flame, glow, pine, waste away with a slow fire of grief or passion. లోలోపల దహించు. 'కొడుకున్న చందంబు కుములుచుచూచి.' Sar D. 421.

(p. 345) g or గా ga. The adverbial sign, for కాన్ as తిన్నగా correctly, slowly, gently, వంకరగా crookedly. It is added to the Infinitive in A, as చేయగ or చేయగా, చూడగ. It is also added to nouns to give them an adverbial force. పుష్పములను నీకు సాయకంబులుగ జేసె he provided thee with flowers for arrows. నల్లగనున్నది it is black. గ stands for 'గజము a yard. In prosody గ denotes గురువు a long syllable, and గా or గగము is a spondee. గ also stands for గద్య prose. In music గ is the note called mi in European music.

(p. 376) gunaguna guna-guna. [Tel.] n. (Anuk: of running), tripping along, trotting along. ఆ చెట్టు ఆకులు గునగున పెరిగినవి the leaves have come out very delicately కోమలముగా. గుండ్రాతికి కాళ్లు వచ్చి గునగుననడిచెను the stones moved slowly. 'గునగున చీమలు గుడ్లెత్తుకొనిపార.' Velag. iii. 4.

(p. 377) gunuku , గునుకుపరుగిడు or గునుకులాడు gunuku. [Tel.] v. n. To trot, amble, trip or run gently. 'ఘటపూర్ణమంత్రపుష్కరధారలెత్తించి గుణముగానకరోసి గునికె నొకడు.' P. i. 127. గనుకుసీసము an ambling metre composed in a peculiar mode. గునుకు n. An amble, trot, or gentle run. కునుకు పరుగు gunuku-parugu. n. The act of running slowly. 'గునుకుపరువుననుదాటె బలుడు తొంబదియడుగులు.' Dasav. ix. 16.
