Also a plant (Gloriosa superba) తరిగొర్రెచెట్టు, కుంకుమపువ్వు చెట్టు the Saf-flower plant. అగ్నిహోత్రము fire. అగ్నిహోత్రుడు the god of fire. అగ్నిహోత్రాలు కాల్చుచున్నాడు or చేయుచున్నాడు colloquial for 'he is smoking.'

(p. 108) ākramiñcu ā-kraminṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To appropriate wrongfully, to encroach on, usurp. ఆక్రమణము ā-kramaṇamu. [Skt.] n. (p. 245) kappu kappu. [Tel.] n. A covering, a cover; the outside of anything: the husk of grain. The exterior surface or coat. Thatch, roof. Colour, as being a cover. Darkness. Blackness: also the dark colour applied to the teeth by some natives. ఇంటికప్పు or పైకప్పు the thatch. మేలుకప్పు a cover. adj. Black, dark, deep (as colour) కప్పుచామన dark red. కప్పు కుత్తుక పులుగు a peacock, as its neck is black. కప్పుతెరువరి fire. కప్పుపచ్చ sap green. కప్పురాయి a sapphire నీలము. కప్పుమల the 'black hill.' కాటుకకొండ. కప్పుమేనిగాము the planet Saturn. (గ్రాము = గ్రహము.) కప్పు కెంపుపొళ్లు crimson rubies. v. n. To spread, extend, come on, to cover, to settle as clouds or smoke. క్రమ్ము. v. a. (p. 248) kammu kammu. [Tel.] v. t. To beat out into wire. కమ్మిగా సెగగొట్టు. To overspread or cover మూయు, వ్యాపించు, క్రమ్ము. కమ్ముకొను kammu-konu. v. a. To pervade, as smoke; to veil, hide, screen, conceal; to surround. శత్రువులు నాలుగు తట్లా కమ్ముకొనిరి the enemy surrounded him on all sides. నాగొంతుకమ్మినది I became hoarse. మత్తుకమ్మిపడ్డాను a stupor came over me and I fell down. వానికి కావలసినంత బలగము ఉన్నది గనుక వాడు చేసిన పనికి వాణ్నికమ్ముకొన్నారు he had abundance of friends, so they screened him from punishment. కమ్ముదల kammu-dala. n. Covering, concealing. తన కృత్రిమమును కమ్ముదలచేసేకొరకు with a view to conceal his roguery.

(p. 251) karidūpamu kari-dūpamu. [Tel. another form of కరదూపము.] n. Dirt; particularly cobwebs; soot; the blackness produced by wood smoke, as distinct from కాటుక or lampblack.

(p. 372) guṇḍu gunḍu. [Tel.] n. A round stone. A cannon ball or bullet. ఫిరంగిగుండు. A lump. A weight (or stone) for scales. A hill పర్వతము. గుండుగుర్రము a stallion or stone horse. వెండిగుండు name of a kind of dog. భైరవుడు, 'కత్తెరసంపంగి, వెండిగుండు' Manu. iv. 42. A polishing stone used by masons in plastering. కసిలెగుండు the iron hoop that forms the lip of a leathern bucket. adj. Round, globular, spherical. గుండుకొట్టు gunḍu-koṭṭu. n. To smoke the drug called bhang. gunḍu-kōvi. n. A small cannon, a swivel. పెట్లదిమ్మ. See గుండుగిలు gunḍu-gilu. v. n. To move in a circle. చుట్టుపడు. గుండుగుత్త gunḍu-gutta. n. An all-round settlement, i.e., a lease which covers all rights and privileges. సమస్త స్వాతంత్య్రముతో ఇచ్చే గుత్త, బిల్మక్తా. గుండుకొను or గుండుగూడుకొను gunḍu-konu. v. n. To unite, to make one common effort. To surround చుట్టుకొను. 'అప్పుడందరును హాహాకారంబులన్ గుండుగూడుకొని సవరింపంగ.' G. ix. 65. గుండుములుగాడు gunḍu-mulupu-gāḍu.
