To take effect as a medicine. నోరూరుట the mouth watering. ఊరబెట్టిన చెక్క timber left to steep or steam so as to be seasoned. తేటలూరగా full of light. ఊరుగాయ or ఊరగాయ ūru-gāya. n. A pickled fruit, a pickle. ఊరుబిండి ūru-biṇḍi. n. A paste or chutney (used as sauce,) of fried grain and chillies. మోదములూర with overflowing love.

(p. 560) toppadōgu toppa-dōgu. [Tel. తోగు+తోగు.] v. n. To plunge, to be drenched. తొప్పదోగిన drenched, soaked. Bedewed, moist. వానలలో తొప్పదోగ తడిసిరి they were soaked in the rain.

(p. 611) doppa See దొన్నె. దొప్పలబోవు doppala-bōvu. [Tel.] v. n. To bag out with wet, as leather does with damp. To shrivel up: to contract as the hands in pain. దొప్ప చెవులుగల flap-eared, having large ears. దొప్పగా నుండే doppa-gā-nunṇē. adj. Channelled, like a dish. దొప్పదోగు doppa-dōgu. v. n. To plunge, to be drenched. దొప్పదోగిన drenched, soaked bedewed, moist. వానలో దొప్పదొగ తడిసిరి they were soaked in the rain.

A lump, mass, morsel. కబళము, పిండము, ఉండ. ముద్దకావడము to form or collect in a mass. వారు తడిసి ముద్ద అయినారు they are soaking wet, or are a mass of wet.నెత్తురు ముద్దగానున్నది it is a mass of blood ముద్ద కర్జూరము a species of date. ముద్దపప్పు pease pudding, యూషము. తడి ముద్దగానుండే బట్టలు a wet wisp of clothes. ముద్దకమ్మరలు mudda-kammaralu. n. Smelters, smiths who work at smelting iron. రాయి కరగి యినుము చేసేవారు. ముద్దకవ్వము mudda-kavvamu. n. A sort of churning staff, with a heavy mass at the end. కర్రబిళ్లతగిలించినకవ్వము. ముద్దకూడు mudda-kūḍu. n. A lump of boiled rice. A paste of rice and ashes applied to the eye of a drum forming the black spot in the centre of the head, for the purpose of regulating the tone. చన్నపిండము, పుష్కరలేపనార్థమైన భస్మమృదితాన్నము. ముద్దకొలిమి mudda-kolimi. n. A forge for smelting iron. రాతిలోనున్నయినుము కరిగే కొలిమి. ముద్దీటె mudd-īṭe. n. A stout spear. ముద్దవాయువు mudda-rāyuvu. n. The cramp. కాళ్లుచేతులు ముద్దలుగా కట్టుకొను వాతరోగము.

(p. 1124) vaḍa vaḍa. [Tel.] n. Heat, వేడిమి, ఎండసెగ. తాపము. Trouble, pain, labour, శ్రమము. A sort of cake, గారె. A kind of hot cake. adj. Hot, వేడి. వడకొట్టి చచ్చిపోయినాడు or వడతగిలి చచ్చిపోయినాడు he died of sunstroke. 'నిప్పులవసంతములాడు నెండలవడజల్లుపడమటి వాయువులును.' P. i. 304. వడగల్లు vaḍa-gallu. n. A hailstone. 'రాలెనొయ్యనవడగండ్లు పాలపండ్లు.' A. iv. 118. పడగవ్వ vaḍa-gavva. n. The name of a certain fish, a species of Scomber. Russell, plate 139. వడగాలి or వడగాడ్పు vaḍi-gāli. n. The hot or land wind. నిప్పుగాలి. వడగొను vaḍa-gonu. v. n. To feel hot, తాపమునుపొందు. వడపప్పు vaḍa-pappu. n. A dish of green gram, split and soaked in water, with salt, pepper, assafœtida, &c. బడలికతీరుటకు నానవేసి కొంచెము ఉప్పు ఉంగువకలిపిన పెసరపప్పు. వడపిందె vaḍa-pinde.- n. A tender fruit that falls down from a tree through the heat of the weather. వడముడి vaḍa-muḍi. n. One who makes it hot for his enemies, శత్రువులకు తాపమును గలుగజేయువాడు. A Telugu name of Bhīma, one of the heroes of the Pāndu race. భీముడు. 'క కడువడి ౛నియంతంతంబుడమిబడినకరులగములు పొరలుట కతనన్ వడముడియడచినతెరువేర్పడగని వేవేగతేరు పరపెం గదియున్.' M. VI. ii. 375.

(p. 1125) vaḍiyamu vaḍiyamu. [Tel.] n. A cake made of black gram (split, soaked and ground,) mixed with salt, chillies, and assafœtida; it is dried in the sun and eaten as pickle. నం౛ుకోవడమునకై మినపపప్పు మిరపకాయలు ఇంగువవేసి నూరిచేసి యెండబెట్టిన వటకము.
