(p. 452) cokku ṭsokku. [Tel.] v. n. To be intoxicated or stupefied. To enjoy oneself to excess. To pine, languish with desire. పరవశమగు. To dry ఎండు. n. Intoxication, stupefaction, faintness. పారవశ్యము, మూర్ఛ. Falling in love, మోహము. చొక్కాకు ṭsokk-āku. n. A dead or dried leaf. రాలిన ఆకు, ఎండాకు. చొక్కిడు ṭsokk-iḍu. (చొక్కు+ఇడు.) v. t. To deceive మోసపుచ్చు. చొక్కునీరు ṭsōkku-nīru. n. Intoxicating liquor. కల్లు, మద్యము. చొక్కెత్తు or చొక్కుపెట్టు ṭsokk-ettu. v. t. To intoxicate. చొక్కుపొడి or చొక్కు మందు ṭsokku-poḍi. n. Love powder; an aphrodisiac drug. చొక్కించు ṭsokk-inṭsu. v. n. To gratify, soothe, please, entrance.

A. v. 155. రిచ్చగొను or రిచ్చవడు riṭsṭsa-gonu. v. n. To be horror-struck, to be stupefied. దిగులుపడు, వితాకుపడు, మ్రానుపడు. 'అచ్చటివార లాబాలగోపాలంబుగా వచ్చి రచ్చలుపడి చూచుచుండిరి.' Vish. vii. 139.

(p. 1355) sokku or చొక్కు sokku. [Tel.] n. Faintness, stupefaction, intoxication, confusion of mind. మయికము, మత్తు. పరవశత, కలవరము, భ్రమ. సొక్కుపొడి intoxicating powder, love powder, a conjuring drug. సొక్కుమందు an intoxicating drug. 'ఇక్కురుసైన్యంబు సొక్కుదక్కకమున్న గ్రక్కున జనుము.' M. IV. v. 212. సొక్కు sokku. v. n. To be bewildered, stupefied, deluded. పరవశతను పొందు, మత్తుకమ్ము, భ్రమనుజెందు. 'పుష్పపరిమలయానూనవాసనకాత్మసొక్కుచును.' BD. iv. 1605. సొక్కించు or చొక్కించు sokkinṭu. v. a. To stupefy, intoxicate, enamour.పరవశతను పొందించు, మత్తుకమ్మేటట్టు చేయు.

(p. 1356) sogayu sogayu. [from Skt. సుఖమ్.] v. n. To be bewildered, stupefied, deluded. To languish, fade away; to be charmed or touched with love. మూర్ఛిల్లు. చొక్కు. పరవశమగు, ముణుగు. 'సుఖసత్కథా వినోదమున సొగయుచు నున్నెడ శుద్ధవైక మానసుండగును.' BD. i. 5. సొగపు or సొగయిక sogapu. n. Stupefaction, intoxication, చొక్కు, పారవశ్యము. సొగయించు sogayinṭsu. v. a. To stupefy, intoxicate, enamour. చొక్కించు. 'సొగసిసొగయించి నెరయైన చూపుజూచి.' H. iii. 111. సొగసు or సొగసు sogasu. n. Beauty, elegance, prettiness, niceness. శృంగారము. అందము, సౌందర్యము, విలాసము. Stupefaction, పారవశ్యము. adj. Pretty, beautiful, elegant, handsome, nice. అందమైన, సుందరమైన. సొగసుకాడు sogasukāḍu. n. A beau, a handsome man, అందగాడు. A gallant, విటకాడు. సొగసుకత్తె sogasu-katte. n. A belle, a handsome woman. అందగత్తె, విటకత్తె. సొగియు sogiyu. v. n. To be pleasant. ఇంపగు. సొగయించు sogiy-inṭsu. v. n. To be happy. సుఖించు.

(p. 1364) stambhamu stambhamu. [Skt.] n. A pillar, a post, a stalf, a stem, trunk, కంబము, Stupidity, stupefaction. Stoppage or suppression of any sense or power caused by magical incantations or drugs, &c. ఊరకుండుట, మ్రామపాటు, నిలుపడము. అరటిస్తంభము the stem of a plantain tree. స్తంభనము stambhanamu. n. Stopping, obstruction, hindrance. నిలుపడము, ఆటంక పరచడము. అగ్నిస్థంభనము restraining the power of fire by magical means జలన్తంభనము continuing along while under water without inconvenience. వాయుస్థంభనము raising the body in the air and maintaining it in such a position without support. భూతస్థంభనము the laying of ghosts, &c. మృగస్తంభనము restraining wild beasts. ఖడ్గస్థంభనము preventing a sword from doing injury. గతిస్తంభనము stoppage, preventing a man from moving. స్తంభించు stam-bhinṭsu. v. n. To stop, to become motionless, stupefied or insensible, నిలిచిపోవు, మ్రానుపడు. ఈ మాటవిని స్థంభించి పోయినాడు on hearing this he stood stock-still. స్తంభించు or స్తంభింపజేయు stambhinṭsu. v. a. To strike dead, depriev of the power of moving, make motionless. కదలకుండా నిలిచేటట్టు చేయు, మ్రానుపడజేయు.

(p. 1364) stabdhamu stabdhamu. [Skt.] adj. Firm, stiff, motionless, immovable, paralized, stupefied, stupid, dull. చేష్టారహితమైన, నిశ్చేష్టితమైన, బిరుసుగానుండే, నిక్కపొడుచుకొన్న. స్తబ్ధరోమము stabdha-rōmamu. n. (lit. stiff haired) A hog. పంది. స్తబ్ధుడు stabdhuḍu. n. A blockhead. జడుడు. వాడా మాటవిని స్తబ్ధుడుగానుండెను on hearing that he stood as if thunderstruck.
