(p. 524) tāraṇa tāraṇa. [Skt.] n. The name of a certain year in the Hindu Calendar. adj. That which enables one to cross. తరింపజేయునది.

(p. 567) tōraṇamu or తోరణ tōraṇamu. [Skt.] n. A wreath, a garland, a festoon of leaves, &c., hung over a doorway or across a road, &c. A gate. ద్వారము. A pack or tobacco weighing from two to ten seers. మాంసపు తోరణములు strings of mutton chops hung across the room. జ్వాలా తోరణము a bonfire. తోరణపట్టె tāraṇ-paṭṭe. n. The cross bar of a winch. (కపిల.)

(p. 827) pratāraṇamu pra-tāraṇamu. [Skt.] n. A delusion, trick, cheating, deceiving, deception. మోసము, వంచన, మోసపుచ్చుట. ప్రతారించు pra-tārinṭsu. v. a. To deceive, మోసపుచ్చు. ప్రతారకుడు pra tārakuḍu. A deceiver. ప్రతారితుడు pratārituḍu. n. One who is deceived or cheated.
