(p. 606) dṛṣṭamu dṛishṭamu. [Skt.] adj. Seen, visible, apparent. చూడబడిన. దృష్టాంతము dṛisṭāntamu. n. An instance, illustration, example, proof; evidence, testimony; a sample. ఉదాహరణము. An institute or body of learning. శాస్త్రము. దృష్టాంతీకరించు dṛishṭāntī-karinṭsu. v. t. To exemplify, illustrate, ఉదాహరించు. దృష్టి dṛishṭi. n. Slight, seeing. చూపు. An eye, కన్ను. A glance or look. Regard, care. ప్రయాణము మీద దృష్టి ఉంచలేదు he regarded not his oath. జ్ఞానదృష్టి, దివ్యదృష్టి or యోగదృష్టి second sight, prophetical knowledge, intuitive perception, supernatural intelligence. దృష్టితగిలి ఒంటికి వచ్చినది he was smitten by an evil eye. దృష్టించు dṛishṭinṭsu. v. a. To view or see. దృష్టి దోషము dṛishṭi-dōshamu. n. A baneful influence, as that of an evil eye. దిష్టి.

(p. 835) pramāṇamu pra-māṇamu. [Skt.] n. Measure, scale; standard; limit; quantity, size, bulk, extent, అంగుళీమానము, జేన, మూఠ, గజము మొదలైనవి. Proof, testimony, authority. A cause, reason, motive. ప్రత్యక్షాది జ్ఞానకారణము, హేతువు. Truth. An oath, adjuration. సత్యము. ప్రమాణముచేయు to make an oath, to take an oath, to swear. ప్రమాణముచేయించు to administer an oath. వేదము శబ్దప్రమాణముగానున్నది the Veda is the standard of revealed truth. శాస్త్ర ప్రత్యక్షాది ప్రమాణములు the methods of Reasoning or Inference. These are: ప్రత్యక్షము actual perception, అనుమానము inference, ఉపమానము analogy, శాబ్దము authority or revelation, ఐతిహ్యము tradition. ప్రమాణీకరించు pramāṇī-karinṭsu. v. a. To consider as true. సత్యముగానెంచు. ప్రమాణీకము pramāṇīkamu. n. Fidelity, faithfulness.
