(p. 14) andu andu. (a defective pronoun.) There, in that place. అక్కడ. అందుకు or అందులక thereof, thereto, for that. అందులో therein. అందున or అందుచేత thereby, by that. అందునిమిత్తము therefore. అందుమీదట adj. thereafter. అటుతర్వాత, వాడు వచ్చి చేరినందుమీదట. after his arrival. అందులకు (an affix) thereto, for that. వ్రాయగలందులకు ad scribendum, to write. అందువల్ల (an affix) thereby. పోయినందువల్ల యేమి ప్రయోజనము what is the use of going? ఆయన రాగలందులకు for his coming. నేను వచ్చేటందుకు అయిదు దినములు పట్టును it will take five days for me to come. అట్లా ఉన్నందుకు for its being so. వాడు అట్లా చేసినందుచేత as he has done so. వాడు అట్లా చేసేటందుచేత by his doing so. అందులకు ఒక ప్రతి వ్రాసినాడు he wrote a copy of it. That. అటు తర్వాత after that. అటుపూర్వము Before that. అటుమొన్న the day before that preceding yesterday. ఏటికి అటుపక్క on the other side of the river. అటుపోక యెటు పోయెనో he did not go there, but is gone I know not whither. తురంగంబటునిటుబడి పారిపోయె the horse ran this way and that way and escaped. అటు atu. [Tel.] adv. So, thus, in that way or manner. అట్లు, ఆరీతిగా. అటువలెనే adv. In like manner. అదేరీతిగా. అటుగాన adv. Wherefore, therefore: so then if so.

(p. 267) kāgā kāgā. [Tel.] adv. Because, seeing that తమరుకాగా ఇది సాగినది this has been effected through you indeed. The same as అయ్యేటట్టుగా. కరమాశ్చర్యముగాగ to their great astonishment. కాగానే as soon as; therefore. ఆ పెండ్లి కాగానే as soon as ever the marriage was over. ఆ సమయములో తమరు చెయ్యి యిచ్చినారు, కాగానే ప్రాణము దక్కినది I owe my life to your aid.

(p. 270) kāna kāna. [Tel.] adv. Then, therefore. గనుక. n. A forest. అడవి.

(p. 654) nimittamu nimittamu. [Skt.] n. A cause, reason, motive, mark, sign, token, omen. హేతువు, చిహ్నము, గురి, శకునము, దుర్నిమిత్తము a bad omen. As an affix: Respecting, regarding, on account of, because of. అందునిమిత్తము for that reason, therefore ఉప్పునిమిత్తము పోయినది she is gone for salt. ఆ యాస్తికిని నాకును నిమిత్తము లేకుండా చేసినారు they cut me off from the estate. దీన్ని అడగడమునకు నీకేమి నిమిత్తము what business have you to ask this? అతని దర్శననిమిత్తమై పోతిని I went to visit him. నిమిత్తముమాలినపని an unreasonable act. నిమిత్తముమాలినమాట a groundless assertion. నానిమిత్తమై నీవు కొంచెము ప్రయాసపడవలెను you must take a little trouble for me, or on my account.

(p. 697) paṭṭi paṭṭi. [Tel. from పట్టు.] a postposition. A sign of the fifth case of nouns. For, because of, on account of, with reference to. నిన్ను పట్టి యీ పనిచేస్తున్నాను I do this for your sake. It is added to the infinitive of verbs, as ఆ టోపి ఉండబట్టిగాని లేకపోతే అతని తల పగులును had it not been for the cap his skull would have been fractured. కాలము యుక్తముగాతీరబట్టి, (i.e., తీరినదిగనుక) as the season turned out well or proved good.
