(p. 307) kṛśamu kṛiṣamu. [Skt.] adj. Thin, lank, slender, weak, feeble. బక్క, సన్నము. కృశత or కృశత్వము kṛiṣata. n. Leanness, thinness. కృశాంగి a slender girl.

(p. 340) kṣīṇamu kshīṇamu. [Skt.] adj. Wasted, emaciated, decayed, exhausted, slender, thin. క్షయించిన, హీనమైన, కృశించిన, నశించిన, మదక్షీణోనాగః an elephant which is emaciated in its rut. క్షీణైపుణ్యేమర్త్యలోకంవిశంతి when their stock of merit [enjoyed by good men] is exhausted, they drop [in the shape of falling stars] again into mortal life. క్షీణపుణ్యులు those whose merit is exhausted. అక్షీణ undiminished. Vasu. i. 7. క్షీణము n. Decline, decay, decrease. క్షయము, తగ్గు. ఆయుఃక్షీణము the decline of one's age. ధనక్షీణము decrease of wealth. క్షీణత or క్షీణత్వము kshīṇata. n. Slenderness, thinness, emaciation, decay. కార్శ్యము, నాశము. క్షీణించు kshīṇinṭsu. v. n. To be wasted, emaciated, decayed. కృశించు, సన్నగిల్లు, నశించు, క్షీణమగు.

Slight contempt. అడవి పలుచన thinness of the forest. ఇట్లు చేస్తే పదుగురిలో పలుచధనకాదా if you behave so you will be mean in men's eyes. పలుచని paluṭsani. adj. Thin, spare, lean, paltry. Not thickset. Disreputable, contemptible. పలుచనిపలుకులు or పలుచనిమాటలు contemptuous words or slighting expressions. మజ్జిగ నిండా పలుచగా నున్నది the buttermilk is very thin. పలుచనిబట్ట a thin cloth. పలుచపడు paluṭsa-paḍu. v. n. To become thin, to melt as butter. పలుచనగు.

(p. 1125) vaḍiyu vaḍiya. [Tel.] v. n. To flow, to drip down or trickle as tears from the eyes, to distil of fall by drops. To decrease, to be diminished, as water in a river, to sink into the ground. స్రవించు, ౛ారు, కారు, వట్టిపోవు, తరుగు, ఇంకు. చెరువులో నీళ్లన్నియు వడిసిపోయినవి the water in the tank is all dried up. To become lean or thin, కృశించు, చిక్కు. వాని ఒళ్లు మునుపటికంటె ఇప్పుడు మిక్కిలి వడిసిపోయినది his body is now much thinner than before. వడియగట్టు, వడియబోయు, వడకట్టు, వడబోయు or వడకట్టు piya-gaṭṭu. v. n. To strain or filter. ద్రవద్రవ్యమును శుద్ధిచేయు, నలుసులు మొదలగునవి లేకుండా చేయు. వడియబోత vaḍiya-bōta. n. Filtering, straining. ద్రవద్రవ్యములను శుద్ధి చేయడము. వడుచు vaḍuṭsu. v. a. To cause to be strained or filtered. వడియజేయు. To cause to drip, కార్చు. వడుపు vaḍupu. n. The state of being emaciated, వడియుట, కృశించుట.

(p. 1215) veliti or వెల్తి veliti. [Tel.] n. Deficiency, want, looseness, thinness, తక్కువ, లోపము, విరళత్వము, తరుచుదనములేమి. గుడ్డవెలితిగా నుండుటచేత by the thinness of the cloth. పిడివెలితిరెండుమూళ్ల వెడల్పు a span less than two cubits. 'క పదివేలదాతలియ్యగనధముండొకడి య్యకున్నర్థికి వెలితా, పదివేలగోవులియ్యగ వెలితానొకటియ్యకున్న.' adj. Deficient, thin. Inferior, less; low, vulgar.
