(p. 766) puḍuku, puṇuku or పుణ్కు puḍuku. [Tel.] v. a. To pick up, to handle, to take with the five fingers. వ్రేళ్లతోతీసికొను. To pinch. To give a little, కొంచెముగా ఇచ్చు. To give, ఇచ్చు. నేలపుణుకు to grovel on the earth as in grief. ఆమె అన్నము పుణికిపుణికి పెట్టినది she gave good stintingly. n. A gift. ఈవి. Giving, ఇయ్యడము పుడుకుదొడుకు or పుడుకుపసి puḍuku-doḍuku. (పుడుకు+దొడుకు.) n. The cow that grants all that one wishes, కామధేనువు. పుడుకుగల్లు puḍuku-gallu. n. The stone that grants all that one wishes, చింతామణి. పుడుకుమ్రాను puḍuku-mrānu. n. The tree that grants all that one desires, కల్పవృక్షము. పుడకులు or పుణుకు puḍukulu. n. A kind of cake, భిక్ష్యవిశేషము. పుణికిరించు or పుడికిరించు puṇikirinṭsu. v. n. To give a little. కొంచెముగా ఇచ్చు. To fumble, to twitch or be convulsed, as the fingers picking the sheets, &c., పుణికిరింత or పుడికిరింత puṇikirinta. n. Fumbling; twitching. పుణికిళ్లు, పుడికిళ్లు or పుణుకులు puṇikiḷḷu. n. Poking, shoving. A romping game like Puss in the corner. 'మరియు బుడికిళ్లు మొదలుగామనసువచ్చినాటలన్నియు.' N. ix. 102.

(p. 1149) vāṭu vāṭu. [Tel. from పడు and పాటు.] n. The act of throwing. వైచుట. A blow, stroke, దెబ్బ. A mode, manner, way, fashion, విధము. రీతి. Convenience. కత్తివాటు an ineision or cut. 'మాయయామాటకు మారుత్తరంబు వాయెత్తగాలేక వాటు దప్పినను, జోహారు వన్నట్లు.' L. vii. 77. Turning over, upsetting. బండి వాటుపడును the cart will upset. వాటుగాలు vāṭu-gālu. n. A lame leg, a leg that has a convulsive twitch in walking. వడవడములో పక్కవాటుగా పోయేకాలు. 'వాటుగాలును రోలువంటినడుము.' HK. iv. 143. 'వాటుగాలనరాదుచేటుదెచ్చు.' S. ii. 20. వాటుగాలు వేసుకొనుచు వచ్చినాడు he came twitching along or limping. వాటురాయి vāṭu-rāyi. n. A stone for slinging, a pebble or stone that could be easily flung at a person, రువ్వడమునకుతగిన రాయి. 'ద్వి ఒలకులబూడిదెయును వాటురాలు.' BD. v. 680. వాటులాడు vāṭul-āḍu. v. n. To fight, కొట్లాడు. వాట్లీడు vāṭl-īḍu. n. A quarrelsome man, కొట్లాడువాడు.
