(p. 18) akasmāttugā akasmāttu-gā. [Skt.] adv. By chance, suddenly, unexpectedly. హటాత్తుగా, without a why or wherefore.

(p. 28) accu aṭṭsu. n. A stamp, a form for printing or for any other impression, a type, a printing press. An axle-tree. A mould. The handle of a handmill, A weaver's reed or stay. An image, or picture. ప్రతి రూపమును కల్పించేటిది, ఇరుసుమాను, తిరగటి పిడి, బట్ట వేసేటందుకు సాధనమైనది, ప్రతిబింబము. పోత అచ్చు the mould wherein clay or metal is cast. ఇటికె అచ్చు the box or mould used in making bricks. అచ్చక్షరములు printed letters. అచ్చువేయు to print. ఇంకా అచ్చువేయని unprinted, unpublished.అచ్చువేసేవాడు a printer. అక్షరాల అచ్చులు types of letters. బెల్లపు అచ్చు a square mould into which boiled treacle is poured, and thus formed into cakes. అచ్చుబెల్లము a lump of jaggery, అచ్చొత్తు to seal, impress with a mark, to print అచ్చుకూటము (a Madras word,) A printing press office ముద్రాశాల. అచ్చుబల్ల the frame on which a weaver's reed is fixed. అచ్చువేసినయెద్దు a 'brahminy' bull that is marked or stamped and is allowed to wander at large, as consecrated to the deity. అచ్చుకట్టు or అచ్చుకట్టువేయు v. a. To prepare land for wet cultivation by throwing up banks to divide it into plots, partitions or beds. మళ్లుగా ఏర్పరచు అచ్చుకట్టించినమడి or అచ్చుకట్టు పొలము a field which is divided into beds for wet cultivation. అచ్చులపోయు to find yarn on the frame for weaving (Cuddapa.) అచ్చుగా aṭṭsu-gā. [Tel.] adv. Precisely, exactly, clearly, evidently. 'పిచ్చుకపై బ్రహ్మాస్తము నచ్చుగ దొడిగినవితాన.' T. iv. 22.

(p. 43) adaru or అదురు adaru. [Tel.] v. n. To tremble, shake, quake, shiver. To dread. కంపించు, భయపడు, భూమి అదురుచున్నది the earth trembles. దాన్ని చూడగానే వాని గుండెలు అదిరినవి his heart quivered to see this. కుడి కన్ను అదురుచున్నది my right eye tingles. వాడు వట-టి అదురుగుండె he is a coward. అడరు or అడురు n. Concussion, shaking, tremour, trembling, fear, కంపనము, చలనము, కొట్టుకొనడము, భయము. భూమి అదురు a tremour or convulsion of the earth. వానికి తండ్రి వద్ద కొంచెము అదురు ఉండవలెను he ought to fear his father. అదరుగడ or అదురుగడ adarugaḍa. [Tel.] n. Daunting, fright. బెదురు. అదరిపడు or అదిరిపడు adari-paḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To caper about, to curvet. ఉలికిపడు. to be arrogant. అదరిపాటు n. Pride. అదరిపాటున. adv. Suddenly, unexpectedly. ఏమరిపాటున, 'అదరిపాటున వారాళియుదుటు చూచి.' N. i. 126.

(p. 43) adāṭugā or అదాటున adāṭu-gā. [Tel.] adv. Suddenly, unexpectedly. అకస్మాత్తుగా.

N. iv. 288. ధ్వజపటము గాలికి అల్లాడుచున్నది the flag flutters in the wind. కూటి అల్లాడుతాడు he is in want of bread. కొలువుకు అల్లాడుతాడు he is in trouble for want of employment. అల్లాటము allāṭamu [Tel.] n. A to-andfro movement, wandering about. అల్లారుదు or అల్లార్చు allāruṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To shake, move, vibrate, agitate, wag, wave. ఆడించు, విసురు. 'ఘనవాలమల్లార్చు.' N. i. 144. అల్లారుముద్దు allāru-muddu. [Tel. అల్ల+ఆరు+ముద్దు.] Prettiness, agreeableness, sweetness. జనసమ్మతి, అతిప్రేమాస్పదము. అల్లారుముద్దుగా ad. Prettily, agreeably, sweetly, pleasantly. జనసమ్మతిగా, అందరికి సంతోషముగా, ముచ్చటగా. 'పడుచుదనమున వేడుకపడుచున్నాడు ముద్దరాండ్రకు నల్లారు ముద్దుగాను.' N. ix. 102.
