The Ashy-crowned Finch Lark. Pyrrhulauda grisca. (F.B.I.) పోతురాజు or పోతరాజు pōtu-rāḍsu. n. The name of a rustic god, like Pan, worshipped throughout the Telugu, Canarese and Mahratta countries. He represents the male principle associated with the village goddesses Gangamma, Peddamma, &c. A proverb says పాడుఊరికి మంచపుకోడుపోతురాజు in a ruined village the leg of a cot is a god. cf., 'a Triton of the minnows' (Shakespeare.) బమ్మెరపోతరాజు the name of a certain poet. పోతులరాజు pōtula-rāḍzu. n. A name given to a large hound.

(p. 889) bugga bugga. [Tel.] n. The check: the inside of the check. A bubble. A spring of water, a fountain. బుగ్గరించు buggar-inṭsu. v. n. To smell, as flowers about to bloom. 'క్రిగ్గాలిదూలదాకినబొంగితుదలు బుగ్గరించినయట్టి మొగ్గపువ్వులును.' BD. iv. 250. అనగా వికసించడమునకై పొట్టలుబ్బిన కోరకములు.
