(p. 44) adṛṣṭamu a-drishṭamu. [Skt.] n. Fortune, luck, chance, fate. భాగ్యము దురదృష్టము bad luck. అదృష్టవంతుడు or అదృష్టశాలి or అదృష్టపురుషుడు a fortunate man. అదృష్టహీనుడు an unfortunate man. అదృష్టఫలము the consequence of (one's) good luck.

(p. 52) anivāritamu a-nivāritamu. [Skt.] adj. Unchecked, unforbidden, unimpeded. అడ్డము లేని, ఆటంకములేని, అనివార్యము a-nivāryamu. [Skt.] adj. Unavoidable. అపరిహార్యమైన, పోగొట్టకూడని.

(p. 64) apātramu a-pātramu. [Skt.] adj. Unworthy, undeserving, unfit. తగని, అయోగ్యమైన, అర్హముకాని. అపాత్రుడు n. He who is unworthy or undeserving. అయోగ్యుడు, అనర్హుడు. నేను ఆయన దయకు అపాత్రుడనైనాను I forfeited his favour. I incurred his displeasure.

(p. 64) apāztayuḍu a-pāngtēyuḍu. [Skt.] n. An unfashionable man, one with whom others will not eat. పఙ్తిలో నుండడమునకు అర్హుడు కానివాడు.

(p. 77) ayuktamu a-yuktamu. [Skt.] adj. Improper, inconsistent, unfit, bad. తగని.

(p. 101) asamayamu a-samayamu. [Skt.] n. An inconvenient, unfit or unfavourable time. అకాలము. అసమయము adj. Unseasonable. అకాలమైన.

(p. 30) azukuñcu a-zukunṭsu. [Tel.] v. i. To underrate or value unfairly, to embezzle. తుకము తక్కువగావేసి దొంగిలించు [Guntur.]

(p. 174) ūḍu ūḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To part, drop out, slip out, జారు, రాలు. To give way, fail: to be unfastened, loosened, separated. వదులగు. To flee, run away. పారిపోవు. తండ్రి నోట్లో ఊడిపడ్డాడు he is the very image of his father. ఊడగొట్టు to take out, root up. remove. ఊడదీయు to pull out, to take off (skin or clothes), to unloose. ఊడబీకు to root out. ఊడలాగు to pull out, to draw out.

(p. 230) kaṭika or కటికి kaṭika. [Tel.] adj. Mere. quite, entire, total, downright, cruel, unfeeling, horrid. కటికపని butchery. కటికచీకటి utter or thick darkness. నిన్నంతా నేను కటికపస్తు ఉంటిని all yesterday I was absolutely starving. కటిక్కన or కటిక్కిన kaṭikkana. adv,. Sharply, smartly, without making any allowance, కటిక or కటికవాడు kaṭika n. A butcher. మాంసమమ్మువాడు.

(p. 253) karkaśamu karkaṣamu. [Skt.] adj. Violent, harsh, rough to the feel, rugged. Hard, cruel, unfeeling కనికరములేని, కరువైన, నొప్పించే. కర్కశమైనమాటలు harsh words. కర్కశము or కర్కస or కరకసా n. Roughness, want of smoothness: ruggedness. కరుకు. A feud, an old grudge, particularly between those who dispute about their respective boundaries. కర్కసపొలము debatable land, ground claimed by both parties.

(p. 263) kaṣṭamu kashṭamu. [Skt.] n. Difficulty, labour, fatigue, hardship. An affliction, plague, pest. adj. Hard, difficult, abominable, unfortunate. వాడు కష్టము లోనున్నాడు he is in difficulty. వాడు అక్కడ పది దినములు ఉండడము కష్టము he will hardly be there ten days. కష్టపడు or కష్టించు to take pains, to labour, toil, exert or bestir himself.

(p. 264) kasi kasi. [Tel.] n. Passion, revengeful spite, bitterness, spleen, ill blood, malice. కోపము, పగ. కసితీరగాచేసె he wreaked his anger or passion. Itch. దురద. Wish కోరిక. adj. Raw, unripe, unfit for the knife. కసు, పచ్చి, లేలత. కసి or కసిడి adj. Petty, small. అల్పము.

(p. 318) koda or కొదవ koda. [Tel.] n. The residue, rest or remainder; deficiency, want, defect. లోతక్కువ. 'మీన్మ్రింగినవారధికిం గొరత యెకొదయె.' A. vi. 67. కొదవపెట్టు to leave unfinished.

(p. 321) kora kora. [Tel.] n. What remains, balance. కొరత. Profit, use, good, advantage. పని, ఫలము, ప్రయోజనము. Carpentry or masonry శిల్పము. A kind of fish కొరమీను. కొరగాని useless, unprofitable. కొర kora. adj. Available, profitable, useful, advantageous. ప్రయోజనకరమైన. Incomplete, unavailing. కొరయిల్లు an unfinished house. కొరనోములు unavailing vows. కొరప్రాణము the last breath, incomplete vitality. కుట్టుసురు, కొనప్రాణము. కొరకామి or కొరగామి korā-kāmi. n. Fruitlessness, uselessness, worthlessness. ప్రయోజనము లేమి. A defect దోషము. A bad sign దుర్లక్షణము.

(p. 353) gaḍusu gaḍusu. [Tel.] adj. Hard, difficult. Cruel, reckless, unfeeling, inflexible. Firm, steadfast. Pertinacious, stubborn, intractable, obstinate, bluff, freespoken, bold, sharp, stout. అసాధ్యము. కఠినము, ప్రౌఢ గడుసునేల hard ground. కుత్సితమైన. గడుసుడిక్కలు stout calves of legs. గడుసువాన a sharp shower of rain. గడుసు n. Hardness, determination. Shrewdness, bluffness. కాఠిన్యము, ధైర్యము. గడుసరి gaḍusari. n. A stubborn man, an unfeeling man, a bold man అసాధ్యుడు, కఠినుడు, ధైర్యముగలవాడు. గడుసరితనము gaḍusari-tanamu. n. Stubborness, unfeeling conduct. గడుసుపడు gaḍusu-paḍu. v. n. To become bold. ధీరుడగు.
