(p. 587) dāparamu dāparamu. [Tel. from దాచు.] n. Happening, meeting. ప్రాప్తి. Stealing, దొంగిలించుట. Concealment, duplicity. మరుగు, మాయ, మోసము. వానివద్ద మరేమి దాపరములేదు there is no concealment about him. adj. Secret, unseen, రహస్యమైన. G. ii. 16. దాపరమైన happened, chanced, befallen, తటస్థమైన. ఈ మొగుడు నాకు ఎక్కడ దాపరమైనాడు how was I so unhappy as to have this husband? దాపరించు dāparinṭsu. v. n. a. To happen, to chance, to have or meet, ప్రాప్తమగు. To steal, దొంగిలించు. దాపరీడు dāpa-rīḍu. n. A thief. దొంగ. దాపరికము dāpa-rikamu. n. Hiding. దాచుట. See దాపు and దాచు.

(p. 600) duḥkhamu duhkhamu. [Skt.] n. Grief, trouble, unhappiness, pain, misery. వ్యసనము, మనోబాధ. దుఃఖించు or దుఃఖపడు duh-kinṭsu. v. n. To grieve, to suffer pain. దుఃఖితుడైన grieved. దుఃఖోపశమనము consolation. duhkha-pāṭu. n. Grieving. దుఃఖపడుట. దుఃఖపెట్టు to grieve, to cause grief.

(p. 740) pāpamu pāpamu. [Skt.] n. Sin, crime, evil. అతణ్ని గురించి పాపము పుణ్యము రెండు ఎరుగును I know nothing about him either good or bad. interj. Alas! O dear! what a pity! unhappily! పాపము, వారుపడినారు alas! they fell down. ఆపె అక్కకు అన్నానికిలేదు పాపము her sister, alas! has nothing to eat. ఆ చిన్నవాణ్ని కొట్టకు పాపము for shame! don't beat the boy. మహా తెలిసినవాడవు పాపము you are a clever fellow, to be sure! వాడు నమ్మినాడు పాపము he believed it, alas! పాపము ఆ రూకలు అతడు చెల్లించినాడు to do him justice, he paid the money. పాపాత్ముడు, పాపపురుషుడు, పాపి or పాపోష్ఠుడు pāp-ātmuḍu. n. A sinner, wretch, villain. పాపాత్మురాలు a wicked woman, a sinful wretch. పాపి pāpi. interj. A vocative particle addressed to a woman or man. My dear! ఒరేపాపి my good fellow! పాపికా, ఓపాపోష్ఠులారా O wicked woman. 'కోపించి యాతండు గొంతి కిట్లనియెల, పాపికాబ్రమసితే? ప్రాణవల్లభుని దూపొడ గూడునేతుంపర్లునిండ.' BD. iii. 576. పాపోష్ఠి pāpisṭhi. adj. Horrid, scandalous, nefarious (a general term of disgust.) పాపిష్ఠుడు pāpishṭhuḍu. n. A great sinner, a miscreant. మిక్కిలిపాపి. పాపుడు pāpuḍu. n. A sinner. A cruel man, హింసకుడు. A wretch, అధముడు. (p. 1057) yōgamu yōgamu. [Skt.] n. Junction, meeting, union, కూడిక, కూర్పు. Fortune, అపూర్వవస్తుప్రాప్తి. సద్యోగము a lucky conjuncture, good fortune, or luck. దుర్యోగము misfortune. దైవయోగము Divine Providence. దైవయోగముతప్పి unhappily, unfortunately. Accession of property, or wealth. ద్రవ్యము. A prescription, a recipe. ఔషధము, మహాబిల్వాది యోగము a prescription including Bilva roots. Devotion, spiritual worship, the practice of abstraction and meditation. ధ్యానము. Of these forms of worship there are eight named (a) యమము restraining the passions, (b) నియమము providing a proper place, &c, for worship, (c) stopping the breath in three modes called రేచకము, పూరకము or కుంభకము, (d) ప్రత్యాహారము withdrawal from sense perception, (e) ధ్యానము meditation, (f) ధారణము repression of all physical movements, (g) మననము fixing the mind on the deity, and (h) సమాధి complete immersion in thought so that the thinker is dead to the world. ధ్యానయోగము an act of faith or meditation. మంత్రయోగము a magical operation. యోగపట్టె or యోగపట్టము yōga-paṭṭe. n. A magic girdle worn by ascetics. యోగదృష్టి the second sight, obtained by devotion, superhuman sagacity or perspicacity. యోగాభ్యాసము the keeping the body in a fixed posture for spiritual worship, the practice of abstract contemplation. యోగనిద్ర or జ్ఞాననిద్ర the divine sleep, or supernatural stupor which yōgis or saints strive to attain. యోగమాయ supernatural stupor. యోగవాగలు, యోగవాగములు or యోగవాగాలు yōga-vūgalu. n. Magical boots supposed to be worn by hermits. తలచినచోటికి తీసికొనిపోవు మంత్రిశక్తిగలపాదుకలు. 'యోగవాగలు మెట్టి యొకపాదమూది.' HD. ii. 135. 'యోగపట్టెలవారు నొప్పారు యోగ, వాగెలవారును.' L. xxiii. 31. యోగక్షేమము yōga-kshēmamu. n. Welfare, well-being, good circumstances. యోగి yōgi. n. A devotee, hermit; an ascetic in general, మని, యోగాభ్యాసము చేయువాడు. యోగిని yōgini. n. A woman who practises Yoga, a female mendicant. A nymph or fairy, attendant on Durga the good goddess. తాపసస్త్రీ. క్షుద్రదేవతావిశేషము. యోగురాలు yōgu-r-ālu. n. A female mendicant. జటిని.

Luckless, unhappy, unfortunate. ఆపదనొందిన. విపన్నుడు vi-pannuḍu. n. One who is unfortunate. అపన్నుడు, ఆపదనొందినవాడు.
