(p. 174) ūḍu ūḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To part, drop out, slip out, జారు, రాలు. To give way, fail: to be unfastened, loosened, separated. వదులగు. To flee, run away. పారిపోవు. తండ్రి నోట్లో ఊడిపడ్డాడు he is the very image of his father. ఊడగొట్టు to take out, root up. remove. ఊడదీయు to pull out, to take off (skin or clothes), to unloose. ఊడబీకు to root out. ఊడలాగు to pull out, to draw out.

(p. 526) tāḷamu tāḷamu. [Tel.] n. A lock. బీగము. తాళపుచెవి a key. కప్పతాళము a padlock. తాళముతీయు to unlock. తాళమువేయు to lock up. Time or measure in music. పాడనపుడు జరిగే కాలపరిమాణము. To turn out, discharge, remove. To exact, receive (payment.) To collect, gather, levy as a tax, a fine, పన్ను, లేక అపరాధమునుతీయు. To pull off, take off. To extinguish or put out. To buy. కొను. See తీసికొను. దెబ్బతీయు to give a blow. చెరువుతీయు, బావితీయు. to sink or dig a well or tank. పాతరతీయు to open a pit or granary. పాలుతీయు to milk. జాడతీయు to trace, detect. చేరదీయు to draw towards, to patronise, take into one's service, to embrace. సానదీయు to whet on a stone. గోళ్లుతీయు to cut the nails. దోవతీయు to clear the way, to prepare a path. అతనిసిగ్గుతీసిరి they disgraced him. తాళముతీయు to unlock. వాకిలితీయు to open a door. విడతీయు to loosen or separate. వేరుగాతీయు to separate. ఎండకంచు తీసినట్టు ఉన్నది the sun is a dazzling as (though reflected from) polished metal. తీయు. v. n. To go off, cease, diminish, disappear, be dispelled, intermit, desist from. To draw back, withdraw, retire, stand aside. To contract, shrivel, crack, open, split. జ్వరముతీసినది the fever went down. వెన్నుతీయు to come forth, or be produced (as a sprout,) to bud. కాళ్లు తీయుచున్నవి my legs throb or ache. ఏరు తీసిపోయినది the river has gone down. వెనక తీయు to fail, retire, withdraw, retreat, hesitate, or flinch. నాలుకతీసినది my tongue is dry, I am thirsty. వాని ఒళ్లు మిక్కిలి తీసిపోయినది he is greatly fallen away in flesh. నీళ్లు తీసిపోవు to dry up, sink, diminish, be exhausted. బలమంతా తీసిపోయినది my strength has gone. పాతర తీసియున్నది the granary was opened. తీయక unintermittingly, without intermission. వెనకతీయక without hesitation. తియ్యకుండా unfailingly, uninterruptedly, without intermission. తీయని incessant, unceasing. తీయించు tīyinṭsu. v. a. To cause to remove, get removed. తీసివేయు tīsi-vēyu. v. t. To take away. To dismiss. To sever ఖండించు. తీసివేతకాకితాలు tīsi-vēta-kāki-talu. n. Outside sheets of paper: paper that is taken away. తీసిపోవు tīsi-pōvu. v. n. To diminish. తగ్గు. తీసుక for తీసుకొని bringing. తీసుకరా bring. తీసుకపో take away. తీసికొను or తీసుకొను tīsi-konu. v. a. To take, &c.; to buy; to eat or drink, &c. పనితీసుకొను to exact service. వాడు చాలా దినములనుంచి తీసుకొంటున్నాడు he has been lingering for a long time. దండముతీసుకొనెను he acknowledged or accepted the salutation.

(p. 591) diñcu or దింపు dinṭsu. [Tel. causal of దిగు. v. t. To bring lower, let down, take off, put down, set down. To place, unload, disembark or land. To distil, or extract spirit. దిగజేయు. విషమునుదించు to bring down or dispel poison. గర్భమునుదించు to bring down the womb, i.e., cause miscarriage or abortion. కడుపుదించుకొను to cause abortion. విల్లెక్కుదించు to unbrace a bow. దింపించు the causal of దించు.

(p. 816) pōka pōka. [Tel.] n. The areca or betel-nut-palm, Areca catechu, (Watts). An areca nut. పోకంతయన్నము a morsel of food 'అనుచు, పోకలకుండ చట్రాతిమీద పగుల వేయుచు' Kanyaka Pur. viii. 266. So saying she hurled a jar full of nuts down on the floor. 'నిజముపోకయు నీకుమేమీము.' HD. i. 1527. పోకగంజి pōka-ganji. n. The Catechu. Terra japonica, కాచ. పోకపేరు pōka-pēru. n. A kind of cake, భక్ష్యవిశషము. పోకబంతివువ్యు pōka-banti-puvvu. n. The flower called Bachelor's button. పోకముడి pōka-muḍi. n. The knot that secures a woman's petticoat at the girdle. పోక ముడిసడలించె she unloosed her petticoat. పోకొత్తు pōk-ottu. (పోక+ఒత్తు.) n. Nippers for breaking the betel nut. అడకొత్తు.

(p. 887) bīgamu bīgamu. [Tel.] n. A padlock, తాళము. బీగపుచెవి a key, తాళపు చెవి. బీతముతీయు bīgamu-tīyu. v. a. To unlock. బీగమువేయు bīgamu-vēyu. v. a. To lock up, as a box.

(p. 1289) saḍalu or సళ్లు saḍalu. [from Skt. శ్లధ.] v. n. To become slack or loose, to fall off. వదలు, వీడిపోవు, ఊడు, ౛ారు. n. Loosening, falling, ఊడుట, ౛ారుట, వదలుట. సడలుపడు Same as సడలు. సడలించు, సడలుచు, సడల్చు, సడలజేయు or సళ్లించు saḍalinṭsu. v. a. To untie, unloose, take off. వదలించు, విచ్చు, తీసివేయు.
