(p. 63) apahariñcu apa-harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To pillage, plunder, take by violence or deceit, usurp. ముచ్చిలించు, అన్యాయముగా ఎత్తుకొని పోవు. అపహరణము apa-haraṇamu. [Skt.] n. Plundering, purloining, carrying off, stealing. చౌర్యము, ముచ్చిలించడము, అన్యాయముగా ఎత్తుకొని పోవడము. అపహర్త n. One who carries away by force or violence, a thief, rogue. అపహారము apahāramu. [Skt.] n. Pillage, plunder, taking by violence. దోచుకోవడము. సర్వస్వాపహారము robbing of everything. హాదత్తాపపాదము taking back a gift. దత్తాహృతము adj. that which is robbed or stolen.

(p. 103) asurusuru or అసులుసులు asurusuru. [Tel.] n. (lit. sighing and sobbing.) Exhaustion, waste of strength. మిక్కిలి అలుపు.

(p. 108) ākramiñcu ā-kraminṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To appropriate wrongfully, to encroach on, usurp. ఆక్రమణము ā-kramaṇamu. [Skt.] n. Surrounding, occupying, usurpation, filling (as smoke.) అక్రాంతిము ā-krāntamu. adj. Appropriated, seized. ఆక్రమింపబడినది. రాజాక్రాంతము seized by the king. ఆక్రాంతి ā-krānti. n. Filling, pervading, spreading through. (T. iv. 159.) వ్యాపకము.

(p. 172) usuru usuru [Tel.] n. Breath, life; strength, vigour, grief; a sigh, affliction, plague, hardship, evil result; retribution or result. వాని ఉసురు నీకు తగులును his trouble will come upon you. ఆడదాని ఉసురు తగలకపోదు the sigh of a woman will not fail to bring trouble (to him who caused her grief). వారి ఉసురు తాకి వాడు చెడిపోవును their sorrows shall be visited on his head. ఉసురుపోసికొను or ఉసురుపుచ్చుకొను usuru-pōsi-konu. v. a. To cause sighs. To afflict. నా ఉసురు ఏల పోసుకొంటావు why do you torment me thus? ఇది చేసినందు ప్రజల యొక్క ఉసురు పోసుకొనెను this called down the curses of the people. ఉసురుతో కూడా alive.

(p. 1400) kuṭṭunuru kuṭṭ-usuru. [Tel. కురు+ఉనపరు or కుట్టి+ఉనురు.] n. A little life కొంచెము మిగిలియున్నప్రాణము.

(p. 301) kusīdamu kusīdamu. [Skt.] n. Usury. అన్యాయమైన వడ్డి. Living on the interest got by lending out money వడ్డికిచ్చి జీవనము చేయుట. కుసీదికుడు or కుసీదుడు kusīdikuḍu. n. A usurer. అన్యాయమైన వడ్డి తీసేవాడు.

(p. 329) kōlu kōlu. [Tel. from కొను.] n. Taking కొనుట. An affix, which turns verbs into nouns. ఆచికోలు usurpation. పొగడికోలు applause. కలుపుకోలుతనము sociable nature. Plu. కోళ్లు. పుచ్చికోళ్లు acceptings. కలుపు కోళ్లు minglings. మొత్తుకోళ్లు lamentations కోలు n. Plunder. కొల్ల. భార. భీష్మ. iii.

(p. 577) dakku dakku. [Tel.] v. n. To be available for enjoyement. అనుభివయోగ్యమగు. To fall to one's share or lot; to be saved, to escape. adj. Enjoyable. అనుభయోగ్యము. మీ ప్రాణములు దక్కవు your lives will not be saved. ఈ రూకలు దక్కనిచ్చేదారిలేదు I have no chance of keeping the money. దక్కొను dak-konu. (దక్కు+కొను.) v. n. To be independent. స్వంతంత్రుడగు. To happen, కలుగు. విక్ర. ii. దక్కించు dakkinṭsu. v. a. To rescue, preserve, defend, save, get, redeem. దక్కించుకొను. I get into one's possession, appropriate. to have. To secure for oneself. To digest. ఆ యిల్లు తనకు దక్కించుకొన్నాడు he got the house into his own hands. దక్కోలు dak-kōlu. n. Occurrence. కలుగుట, సంభవించుట. adj. Taken, usurped: స్వాధీనమైన. Possible, feasible, attainable. దక్కోలుగానిచ్చు dakkōlu-gā-n-iṭsṭsu. v. a. To offer in sacrifice: to present as a gift to a god. దక్కోలుపడు Same as దక్కొను.

(p. 641) nācikonu nāchi-konu. [Tel.] v. a. To snatch, usurp, seize. హరించు. 'తనవి లోకసములు నాదుమనము నాచికొనగ నయ్యింతి ననుగనుగొని.' M. Virat. ii. 88. 'మూఢు చేతనున్నతీయబండు వెసనాచికొనిన నేర్పరియు బోలె.' M. Dro. v. 290. ABA. ii. 554. నాచికోలు nāchi-kōlu. n. Seizure, usurpation, అపహరణము. 'ఫల్గుణడందరమీరిసైంధవుం, బ్రాణము నాచికోలునరనాధ తలంపగమర్త్యకృత్యమే.' M. Salya. i. 58.

(p. 1013) musuru musuru. [Te.] n. A constant or continued rain; drizzle, or mizzling rain, విడువకకురియువాన, ముసురు, ముసురుకొను or ముసురుకవియు. v. a. & n. To cover as flies or ants do. To surround, to swarm or crowd together, చుట్టుకొను. ముసురుమూతి musuru-mūti. n. An angry-looking face. ముసురు మూతితనము crossness, ill-humour, peevishness. కోపిష్ఠితనము. ముసురుమూతివాడు a captious, or peevish man, a cross creature. కోపిష్ఠుడు. ముసురు మూతిమాటలు peevish talk.

(p. 1157) vārdhuṣikuḍu vārdhu-shikuḍu. [Skt. from వృద్ధి.] n. A usurer. వడ్డిచేత జీవించువాడు.

(p. 1353) sēru or శేరు sēru. [H.] n. A seer, a measure of weight equal to two pounds: also, a meausure of quantity equal to about a quart. (It varies in various parts of the country.) అరువది నాలుగు లేక ఇరువది డబ్బుల యెత్తు; ఎనిమిదిపలములయెత్తు; ఇరువదినాలుగు తులముల యెత్తు. కచ్చాసేరు the same more definitely. పక్కాసెరు the large seer which contains three సేరులు, that is, twenty four పలములు or ninety-six rupees' weight. సవ్వాసేరు a seer of thirty rupees' weight.

(p. 1383) hariñcu or హరియించు harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be digested, to waste away, to perish, go off or disappear, as a disease, to subside, క్షయించు, క్షీణించు, జీర్ణించు, అడగు. భేదికియిచ్చిన ఔషధము హరించిపోయినది the medicine was carried off. i.e., the medicine did no good. v. a. To counteract, expel, as an antidote does; to carry off. To take by violence, usurp, plunder, rob, steal, kill, destroy. దోచుకొను, దొంగిలించు, చంపు, నాశముచేయు, అడచు. మజ్జిగ మామిడి పండ్ల విషమును హరించును butter-milk counteracts the bad effects of mangoes. 'చోరవృత్తిని హరించి తముంగొని పోవుచుండగా.' N. i. 239. హరణము hara-ṇamu. n. Seizing, taking away forcibly, removing, carrying or bearing off; as of pain, &c. Stealth, theft, rape. Lapse or passing of time. నివారణము. హరించుట. గ్రహణము. A special gift or bonus: a nuptial present, అరణము, అల్లునికి కూతురికి. అరణము, అల్లునికి కూతురికి ఇచ్చినసొమ్ము. భుక్తికైనాహరణభరణ శక్తి చూచినాను I did to the best of my power to gain my bread. మిక్కిలి కాలహరణ మయినది there has been much loss of time. ఆ సొమ్మును చెల్లించకుండా కాలహరణము చేయుచున్నాడు he is putting off the payment of the money. వాడు ఊరక కాలహరణము చేస్తున్నాడు he is wasting the time. హరింపు harimpu. n. Waste, loss, embezzlement, abstraction. నాశము, నష్టము, దోపిడి, అపహారము. హరింపులోకితెచ్చు to digest, జీర్ణించు. హరికుడు hari-kuḍu. n. A thief, a gambler. తస్కరుడు, ద్యూతకారుడు. హరికప్రయోగము gambling, ద్యూతము. 'రాజమృగాదిముఖబంధనంబును హరిక ప్రయోగంబును.' G. ix. 177.
