An elephant's trunk తొండము. చేసరచు to pat the hand. చేసంజ్ఞ a sign made with the hand. చేకానుక a present given in person. చేగలమెకము an elephant. చేగలవాడు a charitable person. చేతప్పు a slip of the pen. చేబదులు or చేతియప్పు a simple debt as distinguished from a bond debt. చే like 'hand,' when used adjectively sometimes means Small, as చేపెట్టె a hand box, చేకత్తి a small knife, చేబాడిదె a small adze. చే or చేత affix. (p. 506) tana tana. [Tel.] adj. Own, his her, my. See తాను of which this is the genitive. తన చేతననైనంతదూరి he reviled them to the utmost in his power. తనబుద్ధి his opinion, one's own opinion. తనకుతానె adv. He of himself, of his own accord, voluntarily. తనడు tana-du. adj. Own. His, her. See తన.

(p. 982) miñcu minṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To surpass, excel; to transgress. అతిశయించు, అతిక్రమించు. చదువులోవారిని మించినాడు he surpassed them in learning. అతడు ముందు మించిపోయినాడు he is already gone on. మించిమాట్లాడకు do not talk rashly. పని మించిపోయినది it is now too late, the thing is gone by. చెయ్యిమించవద్దు do not lay a hand upon him, do not take the law into your own hands. ఇంతకుమించి యెరుగను I know nothing more than this. పెదవికి మించినపల్లు a projecting tooth, i.e., a scapegrace, a disobedient fellow, మించిమించియుంటే, లేక, మహా ఉంటే పదిరూపాయీలు ఉండవచ్చును at the utmost there may be ten rupees. ఆరూకలను మించ ఇచ్చివేసినాడు he had already paid the money. 'ఉత్తరంబుమించి యరిగిన' M. III. i. 2. when they first went northwards, ఉత్తరాదికి ముందుగా పోవునప్పటికి మించుకాలు the right leg, కుడికాలు. n. A kind of ring worn on the second toe, కాలిచుట్టు. Excess, ఆధిక్యము. Lightning, మెరుపు. Brightness, ప్రకాశము, మించూనె it flashed. మెరుపునుపొందెను, మెరసెను. 'తొలుదొల్తనుదయాద్రి శిలదాకిమించూని.' A. i. 43. మించుబోడి or మించుబోణి minṭsu-bōḍi. n. H. i. 245. మొనలారిపోయినకత్తి a knife with a blunt point. adj. Last, furthest, utmost. కడపటి. మొనకట్టు mona-kaṭṭu. v. n. To attempt with enthusiasm, ఉత్సహించు. n. Joy, rejoicing, enthusiasam, ఉత్సాహము. An amulet or drug used as a charm, పెట్టుమందులలో నొకటి. ఒకానొక స్తంభనమాలిక. 'ఇదిదారికట్టు మొనకట్టిది, కాంతావశ్యకరణమిది.' S. i. 18. 'జలాగ్నిస్థంభములును, మొనకట్టును వాకట్టును.' H. i. 174. adj. Rejoicing, enthusiastic, ఉత్సాహకరమైన. మొనకాడు or మొనగాడు mona-kāḍu. n. A leader of an army, a hero, a principal; a ringleader, శూరుడు, సేనాధిపతి, ముఖ్యుడు. దొంగలమొనగాడు a ringleader among thieves. మొనకొను Same as మొనయు. (q. v.) మొనచేయు mona-chēyu. v. n.
