(p. 6) aṅguḍutuḍipi anguḍu-tuḍupi. [Tel.] n. A backbiter, incendiary. ఇక్కడిమాట అక్కడ అక్కడి మాట యిక్కడ చెప్పేవాడు, తంటాలమారి.

(p. 29) acyutamu acchyutamu. [Skt.] adj. Imperishable. అచ్యుతుడు acchyutuḍu [Skt.] n. The eternal one. Vishnu.

(p. 50) anāgatamu an-āgatamu. [Skt.] adj. Not come, not arrived, future. భవిష్యత్తు అయిన అనాగతము n. The future. భవిష్యత్తు అనాగతమును చెప్పుట to foretell. అనాగతవేడి n. A prophet: one who 'knows that which has not happened.' సంభవింప బోవుదాన్ని యెరిగినవాడు.

(p. 51) anāhutuḍu an-āhūtuḍu. [Skt.] n. One who is not called or invited.

(p. 60) anyamu anyamu. [Skt.] adj. Another, other, different, strange, foreign. ఇతరమైన, వేరే, మరియొక. అన్యదేశము a foreign country. అన్యదేశస్థులు foreigners. అన్యుడు anyuḍu. [Skt.] n. A stranger. పరుడు, ఇతరుడు అన్యోన్యము adj. Mutual, reciprocal. పరస్పరమైన. అన్యోన్యము n. Friendship, amity, intimacy, mutual attachment, or affection. స్నేహము, విహితము. అన్యోన్యముగా adv. On good terms, amicably, in a friendly manner, affectionately. స్నేహముగా, విహితముగా.

(p. 63) aparōkṣamu a-parōkshamu. [Skt.] n. Presence. సమక్షము. అపరోక్షజ్ఞుడు n. A. prophet; one who knows the past and the future. భూతభవిష్యత్తులను ఎరిగినవాడు.

(p. 97) avutu avutu. [H.] n. A waterspout in which the stream descends; if the stream ascends, it is called పీరుసుడి. అవుతు ఖానా avutu-khānā. [H.] n. A reservoir, a cistern, pond, bath. తొట్టి, గుంట, స్నానవాటిక.

(p. 109) āgāmi āgāmi. [Skt.] adj. Future.

(p. 119) āyati āyati. [Skt.] n. Tallness, length. The future రాగలకాలము. The space of four months కందాయము, కారు, మాసచతుష్టయము. Income. వచ్చుబడి. ఆయతికాడు āyati-kāḍu. A tall man; a man of rank; a powerful man, one who acquires wealth. ధనార్జనము చేయువాడు.

(p. 137) inuḍu inuḍu. [Skt.] n. A name of the god Surya. ఇనసుతుడు ina sutuḍu. n. The son of Surya. viz., Yama.

(p. 142) ihamu or ఇహలోకము ihamu. [Skt.] adv. Here. Here below. The present world or life; opposed to పరము the future state. ఇహపరాదులు వెరవక having no fear of god or man.

(p. 153) utuku utuku. [Tel.] v. a. To wash, as cloth, ఉదుకు. To thrash, ఉతకడానకువేయు to send clothes to be washed. ఉతికించు utikinṭsu. (Causal of ఉతుకు.) v. To get washed.

(p. 154) uttaramu uttaramu. [Skt.] adj. Secondary subsequent, following after. మీదిది. ఉత్తరభాగము the sequel or supplement. ఉత్తర రామాయణము the sequel to the Rāmāyaṇa. ఉత్తరసాధనము a further means. ఉత్తరసాక్షి a subscribing witness. సాక్షులగుటకు సాక్షి. ఉత్తర పక్షము the party who support the affirmative. Also, the affirmative proposition సిద్ధాంతము, the party in opposition being called ప్రతిపక్షము; the hypothesis or affirmative proposition, the second part or deduction from an argument. ఉత్తరార్థము the second half of an argument being the demonstration or exemplification of the పూర్వార్ధము or assertion first made. ఉత్తరోత్తర adv. Ever after, at any future time, hereafter, in course of time, gradually.

(p. 157) udarkamu udarkamu. [Skt.] n. Future or remote consequence, భవిష్యత్ ఫలము; future time. రాగల కాలము.

(p. 178) ṛtuvu ṛituvu. [Skt.] n. A season. The Hindu year is divided into six seasons, each lasting two months, viz., వసంతము the spring, గ్రీష్మము summer, వర్షము the rainy season, శరత్తు autumn, హేమంతము the dewy season and శిశిరము the cold season. ఋతుకాలము ṛitu-kālamu. n. The menstruous period. A. ii. 22. ఋతుమతి ṛitu-mati. n. A menstruous woman. ముట్టుది. ఋతుస్నాత ṛitu-snāta. n. A woman who has bathed after menstruation. ఋతుస్నానము ṛitu-snānamu. n. Bathing after purification.
