A plant from the fibrous leaves of which bow strings, &c. are made. Aletris hyacinthoides; Sansevicra zeylanica. (Roxb.) చాగచెట్టు. A wild species of the పాలచెట్టు, Periplocā Tunicata:. అజగంధీ, వటపత్రిక. కుక్కముల్లు kukka-mullu. n. An eruption like measles, miliary eruption or nettle rash. కుక్కమూతి పిందె kukka-mūti-pinde. A blasted fruit. A proverb says చెట్టుచెడేకాలానికి కుక్కమూతి పిందెలు పట్టుతవి producing blasted fruit is a mark that the tree will never thrive again. Metaphorically, wild behaviour portends ruin. కుక్కవావింట kukka-vāvinṭa. n. A plant called the Dog Mustard, Cleome viscosa. శ్వాసబర్బర.

(p. 1159) vāvi vāvi. [Tel.] n. Legality, lawfulness, consanguinity, legitimacy. వరుస. Relationship, బంధుత్వము. 'వాని జెల్లెలుకాని కూతురువంటిది.' భాగ. X. వావితప్పు to commit incest.ఇది వావికాదు this is not right, i.e., this is incest. ఆ పడుచును పెండ్లాడడము వావికాదు it is unlawful for him, to marry that girl.

(p. 1159) vāvika vāvika. [Tel.] n. The pit at the bottom of the throat on the breast bone. కంఠము మొదటనుండుగుంట.

'ప్రతియాసుబాహుని పట్టణంబునకు, బోవుచున్నారమో పూబోడియనుచు, బోవుచున్నారమో పూబోడియనుచు, వావిరిదో డ్కొనివడిపడినరుగ.' ND. iv. 600. adj. Great, much, అధికము. Following, అనుగతము. Difficult to obtain, ఉత్కృష్టము. 'కేవలకల్పనాకథలు కృత్రిమరత్నము లాద్యసత్కథల్, వావిరిపుట్టురత్నములు లాద్యసత్కథల్, వావిరిపుట్టు రత్నములు.' Vasu. Pref. 35. adv. Very, exceedingly, much. అత్యంతము.
