(p. 1010) mulu Same as ముల్లు (q. v.) adj. Thorny. ములుకత్తి mulu-katti. n. A short knife used for removing thorns. ములుకోల or మునికోల mulu-kōla. n. A goad, ఎడ్లనుపొడిచేకోల. ములుగోగు mulu-gōgu. n. A plant, Hibiscus suratensis. ములుగొలిమిడి mulu-golimiḍi. n. A plant bearing a dark black flower, Copparis spinosa. కోకిలాక్షము, ఇక్షురము. ములుగోరంట mulu-gōranṭa. n. The plant called Barleria cristata. ఝింటి, సైరేయకము. ములుచిత or ముల్లుచిత mul-uchita. (ముల్లు + ఉచ్చిత.) n. The name of a herb. ఒకవిధమైన కూరకు, ముళ్లముస్తె. ములుతారు or ములుదారు mulu-tāru. n. A kind of snare. 'వ మృగంబులు మెలగులోపట్టులరసి ములుతారు వేయించి, పోగువారించి.' H. N. ii. 16. ములుదోస mulu-dōsa. n. The prickly cucumber. Cucumis muricatus. రోమశి. ములుబంతి mulu-banti. n. (p. 1204) vempara vempara. [Tel.] n. Plague, trouble, annoyance, పీడనము. Killing, హింస. వెంపరలాడు vempara-l-āḍu. v. a. To destroy, kill, హింసించు, చంపు. To harass, annoy, పీడించు. 'అంపరపరంపరల వెంపరలాడురథికులును.' T. v. 33. 'చంపిన వారికి చావు సత్యంబు వెంపరలాడక విడువడు యముడు.' L. xx. 254. 'సీ చెవిదార్చివిని చీమచిటుకన్ననొకసారిసెలసి జెంపరలాడుజెట్టులెల్ల.' Swa. iv. 16.

(p. 1204) vempali vempali. [Tel.] n. The purple Galega, Tephrosia purpurea. A small wild shrub with a pink flower and a leaf resembling that of the Indigo plant. బాణపుంఖి, మణికాచము. It has several species called ములువెంపలి the thorny sort, జిడ్డువెంపలి the gummy kind, వెలివెంపలి the whitish and పెద్దవెంపలి the giant species.
