(p. 119) āyāsamu āyāsamu. [Skt.] n. Fatigue, trouble, uneasiness, vexation. శ్రమము. ఆయాసకరము āyāsa-karamu. adj. Vexatious or troublesome. ఆయాసపడు v. i. To toil, be wearied. శ్రమపడు, to grieve. ఆయాసపెట్టు v. a. To trouble, to plague, vex, harass.

(p. 1398) ubbakamu ubbakamu. [Tel. from ఉబ్బు.] n. Greatness, అధక్యము. Joy, ఉత్సాహము. ఉబ్బెత్తు ubb-ettu. adj. Convex.

(p. 166) ubbu ubbu. [Tel.] n. Swelling ఉబ్బడము. సంతోషము. Haughtiness. ఉబ్బు v. n. To swell, be puffed up, to be delighted. ఉబ్బిన swollen or proud. నవ్వి కడుపు ఉబ్బినది he burst with laughter. 'ఉబ్బి చెలరేగి వసుదేవుడుత్సహించె.' (B. X.) he was overjoyed. అది నాకు దొరికినదని వానికి కడుపు ఉబ్బుచున్నది he is vexed at my obtaining this. కడుపుబ్బు suppression of urine, envy, spite, ఉబ్బున haughtily, fiercly. ఉబ్బించు ubbinṭsu. v. t. To inflate, to puff up with joy, to flatter. ఉబ్బు రోగము ubbu-rōgamu. n. Dropsy.

(p. 196) ēcu ēṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To increase, exceed. పెరుగు. అతిశయించు, అధికమగు. ఏచినభీతి excessive terror. ప్రబలమైన భీతి, అధికమైన భయము. ఏచినచీకట్లు extreme darkness. A. v. 127; v. 56. ఏచు or ఏపు ēṭsu. v. a. To heat, burn. To vex, torment, grieve, plague, take vengeance on. బాధించు.

One who feels disgusted with a thing రోతగలవాడు An envious man ఓర్వలేనితనముగలవాడు. ఏవగించు or ఏవపడు ēva-ginṭsu. v. n. To hate, dislike. To be vexed or disgusted అసహ్యపడు. v. a. To blame, abuse, vilify, accuse నిందించు. To abandon, to desert విడుచు.

Curds beaten with water, buttermilk. మజ్జిగ. చల్లకైవచ్చి ముంత దాచనేల, చల్లకు పోయి ముంత దాచడమేమి why conceal your pot when you come for buttermilk, i.e., why do you beat about the bush? or, why mince the matter? చల్ల or చల్లని adj. Cool, cold. శీతము. Benign, merciful, healing. Comfortable. చల్లకము ṭsallakamu. n. Sprinkling. Watering, irrigation. చల్లుట. చల్లకడి ṭsalla-kaḍi. n. Flummery: buttermilk mingled with fenugreek. మెంతిమజ్జిగ. చల్లకవ్వము ṭsalla-kavvamu. n. Easily, gently, well, safely, comfortably: in good health, softly, deliberately. చల్లగాచూచు to look at or regard with satisfaction. చల్లగామాట్లాడు to speak coolly or gently. మీదొరతనము చల్లగా నుండవలెను may your reign be peaceful! వాని చెయ్యి చల్లగా నుండవలెను may his hand be blessed! 'తే అందరికి నన్నివగల నానాందమిచ్చి, చల్లచేయగ.' (Ila. i. 79.) with her graces she charmed them all, cheering and refreshing their hearts. కన్నులచల్లచేసె. Vexed, irritated or annoyed: sharp or cross. చిటచిటమాటలు sharp or cross language. చిటచిటమను or చిటచిటలాడు chiṭa-chiṭa-m-anu. v. n. To crackle as fire. To be vexed, irritated or annoyed. (p. 414) ciḍimuḍi chiḍ-imuḍi. [Tel.] Peevishness, pettishness, vexation, hastiness. తొట్రు, తొందర. Agitation, alarm. చిడిముడిపడు chiḍi-muḍi-paḍu. v. n. To be agitated or vexed, to be angry or hasty. BD. iv. 151. తొట్రుపడు. చిడిముడిపాటు chiḍi-muḍi pāṭu. n. Irritation, pettishness, anger, haste. తొందర. G. i. 220.

(p. 422) cīkāku chīkāku. [Tel.] n. Vexation, puzzle. disgust, teazing, pestering. చీకాకు ఉడిగిన (i.e., హరించిన) యోగి a devotee who hath dispelled all those passions that harass the mind. చీకాకు చేయు or చీకాకుపరుచు chīkāku-chēyu. v. t. To displease, vex, trouble, శ్రమపరచు. శత్రుసైన్యమును చీకాకు పరిచినాడు he harassed the foe. చీకాకుపడు chīkāku-paḍu. v. n. To be vexed, harassed, puzzled or tormented.

(p. 519) tahataha taha-taha. [Tel.] n. Flurry, agitation, flutter. తమకము. Grief, vexation, వ్యాకులము. తహతహపడు to be in distress, to be at one's wits' end to be vexed, తమకపడు. To be excited with joy, to rejoice కుతూహలపడు. తహతహపెట్టు to distress, to agitate, తమకపరుచు; to cause to rejoice కుతూహలపరుచు.

(p. 522) tāpamu tāpamu. [Skt.] n. Burning, heat. (Metaphorically) Corriding care or trouble. The fire of love or fever of grief. తాపంబుటుడుకు heat, warmth, irritation. R. vi. 249. తాపత్రయము tāpa-trayamu. n. Triple cares, all sorts of troubles arising from worldly cares. These are divided into ఆధ్యాత్మికము. ఆధిభౌతికము and ఆధిదైవికము, that is, sorrows caused by, (1) ourselves, (2) others, & (3) by the will of God. R. iii. 31. తాపత్రయపడు to be harassed or vexed, to be in trouble, care and anxiety.
